Brittany noticed Eddy and raised her eyebrows in surprise. She said, “You’re here too, Mr. Eddy.”

“Yes,” Eddy answered half–heartedly.

He looked back at Brittany and asked, “What are you doing here?” Although he already knew the answer, he didn’t want to admit the truth.

Brittany replied, “Ms. Evans hired me to handle her PR case.”

Susan was shocked by Brittany’s words. She looked at Caroline in disbelief.

“But as far as I know, you don’t usually go out and handle cases yourself,” he said, looking at Caroline.

Brittany was still polite to Eddy, but she couldn’t resist Interrupting him. “You’re mistaken, Mr. Eddy. I’m here because Ms. Evans caught

my eye.”

“If there’s nothing else, may I ask both of you to leave? I would like to talk to Ms. Evans in private.” 

Brittany’s team escorted the baffled Eddy and Susan out of the office.

By now, many people had gathered outside Caroline’s office. After hearing that Brittany was here, they had wanted to see if it was true.

When they saw Eddy and Susan leaving the office, they were talking.

“It sounds like Caroline hired Brittany’s PR team.”

“Caroline is pretty badass. She can even hire someone like Brittany.”
