Erica smiled warmly, "You sure have the same charisma as your dad! No wonder you managed to steal Sally's heart."

"Stop teasing me." Jeffery said.

"Alright, alright, I won't tease you guys anymore. Come over and have dinner. This is the result of a whole day's work with Camela. You better appreciate it." Erica said.

"Thank you," Jeffrey and Joy said in unison.

After a while, Joy suddenly felt nauseous and rushed to the bathroom. Everyone was shocked. Ines was the first to react, nudging Jeffrey, "Hey, go check on her. Your wife might be pregnant."

"What?" Jeffrey was taken aback.

"You're gonna be a dad." Ines couldn't help but laugh. She found it amusing how men could be so smart yet so clueless at times. Jeffrey was like this now, and Ethan was the same previously.

Hearing Ines' words, Jeffrey was utterly shocked, stammering, "That's impossible. We just got married."

"There's nothing impossible about it. Lots of people get pregnant on their wedding night. Honeymoon babies are pretty common." Camela laughed from the side.

"Exactly. Listen to Camela. She's practically an expert in this." Erica chimed in.

"I'll go check on her." Just as Jeffrey was about to stand up, Joy came back. Seeing everyone looking at her strangely, she couldn't help but explain, "I'm sorry for interrupting dinner. I've been having some stomach troubles recently and often feel nauseous."

"Joy, how long have you been feeling like this?" Ines asked with a smile.

"A few days." Joy answered.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Jeffrey frowned at Joy.

"It's not a big deal. There's no need to worry you." Joy comforted him.

Ines turned to Jeffrey, "Jaffery, you should take this seriously. Take your wife to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow. She might be pregnant."

"Izzy, are you saying I'm pregnant?" Joy was shocked, pointing to herself in disbelief.

"That's up to you to answer. Besides feeling nauseous, have you been feeling unwell anywhere else?" Ines asked.

"This house is actually part of the Galeana Group. If you're interested, you can work at the Galeana Group. Joy's mom is also here, and you guys can take care of each other." She had this idea when she went to B City for the wedding last time but hadn't found the right opportunity to bring it up.

Jeffrey paused, then caught the mischievous look in Ines' eyes. He immediately understood her intentions and tapped her forehead lightly, "I know what you're up to. You just want my parents to come over too."

"It seems I can't hide anything from you. You're right. If you and Joy work here, and she's pregnant now, your parents will definitely come to help take care of the baby. The Galeana Group has plenty of houses. You can just pick one and settle down here. That way, we can see each other often. It's a win-win situation." Ines said.

"You can dream about it for now. But they haven't retired yet, and they love their work. I don't think they'd want to retire so early. And I wouldn't want to take advantage of you and let you give me special treatment." Jeffery said.

"That's not special treatment. I'm just recruiting talent for the Galeana Group. If you weren't qualified, I wouldn't have suggested it. By the way, Joy can also join the Galeana Group. It's our own company, so you won't have to worry about what others think." Ines suddenly shifted the topic to Joy.

Joy laughed a little and politely declined, "No, Izzy, I've already resigned. I'm going to be a full-time housewife and won't work anymore. Your cousin's income is high enough to support our family."

Ines looked at Joy in surprise, "Did the fiasco at the wedding last time get to you?" Joy said, "That's just part of the reason, the real reason is that I'm kinda beat. I've been running around with your cousin for years, and I'm physically and mentally exhausted. Plus, there has to be someone to take care of things at home. It's better for me to quit my job, but quitting doesn't mean I'm giving up my passions. As long as your cousin's in the architecture business, I can still be his better half."

Joy had made her point, so Ines didn't push it any further, "Alright then, you can take some time to experience life. If you want to work again in the future, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Ethan led Jeffery and Joy to the guest room, then, he and Ines finally returned to their master bedroom. The room was decorated in her favorite style. As soon as they entered the bedroom, Ines wrapped her arms around Ethan from behind, but thinking of his injuries, she backed off a little, saying, "Ethan, I want to kiss you."
