Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 363

Hearing this, Ethan turned and gathered Ines into his arms, his eyes twinkling with joy, "Do you really like our new home?"

Ines nodded vigorously, "I love it; it's exactly the style I want."

"We'll move in after the baby is born. For now, let's air it a bit. The longer it sits, the better it is for us." Ethan said.

"Sure, I'll follow your plan." Ines said.

Ines then stood on her tiptoes, reached up to wrap her arms around his neck, and planted a kiss on his lips. She quickly pried open his lips before he had a chance to react, her tongue eagerly entwining with his. A fond smile crossed Ethan's eyes as he bent down to meet her kiss, his arms encircling her as he passionately responded. His hand ventured under her clothes, caressing her soft skin, and he found himself desiring more.

Soon, both of them were lost in their lustful haze. With their bodies pressed close together, Ines could clearly feel his arousal and hugged him tighter. However, Ethan chose this moment to pull away, resting his chin on her shoulder with a sigh. When she wasn't paying attention, he bit her nose, not too hard, but enough to cause a slight pain.

Ines looked at Ethan accusingly, her eyes welling up with tears, "Ethan, why did you bite me?"

"You naughty girl. You know what kind of situation we're in, yet you still decided to tease me. Who do you think you are, teasing your own husband like this?" Ethan scolded, pinching her nose playfully.

Ines laughed softly and traced circles on his chest, "Well, who's to blame for not being able to resist my charms? It's not like I have any other choice."

"You're gonna pay for this later. Don't think you can escape." Ethan said.

Ines pouted and then went to lay on the bed, stretching her limbs out. She took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh scent of roses, which happened to be one of her favorites.

The next day, they woke up early to go to the hospital for a prenatal checkup. It was Ines' fifth checkup since she was 28 weeks pregnant. No matter how busy he was, Ethan would always make time to accompany her. Ines had gotten used to the routine, unlike her first two checkups when she was nervous. On the other hand, Joy and Jeffery were visibly tense, their hands tightly clasped together.

Ines couldn't help but laugh, "You guys need to chill. You're not in a rush to have kids. If you're pregnant, great; if not, take your time. You just got married. Enjoy your time together."

Jeffery cracked a smile, while Joy said, "Izzy, I am kind of in a hurry. I'm already thirty. If I don't have one now, it'll be too late, not to mention I want to have a second child."

"So you quit your job to have kids for my cousin, and even plan to have two." Ines teased.

"I'm not like you, able to have two at once." Joy said, slightly annoyed.

Ines couldn't help but laugh, "It's the good genes of the Meyer family."

The tests for Ines this time were simple, mainly to check if she was carrying Hepatitis B virus. After drawing blood, Ines and Ethan left the examination room and sat in the waiting area for the results, while Joy and Jeffery went in.

Ines leaned her head on Ethan's shoulder, but she could feel him chuckling, his chest moving slightly, "Ethan, what are you laughing at? Why do you look so happy?"

Ethan immediately hid his smile, pretending as if nothing had happened. Ines was even more curious now and pinched Ethan's arm, pretending to be angry, "Ethan, what were you whispering with the doctor? Don't think I didn't see. Are you hiding something from me?"

Ethan touched his nose and whispered in her ear, "I asked the doctor. She said you're carrying a boy and a girl, twins."
