Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 367

Silvia barely finished one bowl before she couldn't eat anymore, and Phillip didn't force her to. She put the bowl aside on the table, and looking at Erica and Phillip, she cautiously asked, "Grandpa, do you all already know?"

The old man nodded, looking at Silvia steadily, "Ethan has already told us. You really went overboard this time and acted impulsively. Ethan only scolded you a bit, but there was no need for you to treat yourself this way."

Just as she suspected, they all knew the truth. No wonder she felt their gazes were a bit off. All their concern for her was just an act, not as genuine as before.

A bitter smile appeared on Silvia's face, "So you all knew."

Seeing Silvia's current physical state, Phillip didn't want to discuss this matter anymore, "Silvia, let's not talk about this. Your main task now is to take care of your health and get back to normal life. Don't think too much about what has already happened, just don't do this anymore in the future."

Erica chimed in, "He is right. And what I told you last time is still valid. We have already found many excellent single men for you, not much worse than Ethan. We will continue to help you with your lifelong matters."

Hearing their tone, always so condescending, she could care less. Silvia didn't say a word for a while. She just stared at Phillip with a sarcastic look, "Phillip, I know what you're thinking. You just don't want to abandon me when I'm about to die, afraid of other people saying that the Meyer family is ungrateful. The only reason why you're still here is for the reputation of the Meyer family, otherwise, you probably would have been like Ethan, not even willing to look at me."

Phillip's face darkened, stunned at what Silvia had just said. Ignoring his anger, Silvia turned to Erica, "And you, you have ulterior motives. You're so eager to marry me off and you know why that is. You're afraid I'll compete with Ines for Ethan again. It was me who met Ethan and you first. But now you're all leaning towards Ines. I'm just an optional person in your eyes, one mistake and you'll abandon me. This is my fate, I accept it."

Erica couldn't help but laugh, she was now certain that Silvia was seriously mentally ill. If she really knew how to love someone, she wouldn't be so persistently clinging on. Erica said, "You're not ashamed to use that as an excuse? There's a line of women from one end of the street to the other who want to marry Ethan. Are we supposed to marry him off to each one of them? Besides, with your looks and your background, you're not worthy of Ethan. You think Ines is inferior to you, but I think Ines is better than you in every way. She's the heiress of the Galeana family, and now the entire Galeana Group is in her hands. You can't even compare to her in terms of wealth and status. She's also way prettier than you, and she's carrying twins. The key is that she managed to get Ethan to propose to her at first sight. You, on the other hand, have been around Ethan for years and couldn't catch his eye. Even when you're close to death, he doesn't want to see you. You've lost completely. And still you don't know when to give up, you're really hopeless."

Hearing this, Silvia went pale as a ghost, her lips trembling and unable to utter a word.

Erica didn't give a damn about her reaction. She had completely given up on Silvia, thinking she was beyond redemption. So naturally, she didn't hold back and said what needed to be said, "The way you treat Izzy, yet we risked her suspicion to take care of you. I personally took care of you for so many days out of goodwill until yesterday, and that's the biggest kindness we could show. Yet you dare to speak to us like this. I don't really care, but have you ever thought about Phillip? Upon hearing that you woke up, he, being as old as he is, immediately brought you food. And you even suspect that he's doing this for the reputation of the Meyer family. What kind of slander and rumors haven't the Meyer family been through? Do you think we really care about this? You're seriously underestimating us."
