Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 369

"Phillip, I'm here." Ines pushed open the door, her face beaming with a smile.

Phillip looked up to see Ines coming in, his brow furrowed. "Izzy, why are you back in the hospital while pregnant? I'm just dealing with an old issue, it's not a big deal. Are you trying to make me worry?"

"No worries, I feel great. It's just a bit of swelling, and moving around actually helps a lot. I'm completely fine, and Ethan is right here with me. You don't need to worry." Ines reassured him.

Phillip glared at Ethan, “You're not a child anymore. Why would you let Izzy act like this?”

Ethan gave an embarrassed laugh, "Grandpa, actually Izzy has some good news to share with you. That's why she came herself."

Phillip’s eyes lit up, looking at Ines, "Izzy, what's the good news? Spit it out and cheer me up."

Ines sat by Phillip's bed, gave a small smile and said: "Phillip, I’m expecting twins, a boy and a girl. We confirmed it at the hospital this morning."

Phillip was taken aback, then excitedly tried to sit up, "Really?"

Ashley, who was sitting nearby, immediately pressed him down, saying helplessly: "Grandpa, don't get too excited, you're still receiving an IV. Be careful not to dislodge the needle. It’ll be a hassle."

Ines, like Ashley, gently pressed on Phillip to keep him down.

"Izzy, what you just said, is it true?" Phillip still found it hard to believe and asked again.

Ines nodded at Phillip, "Yes, so you have to take care of yourself. Be healthy and be with these two kids in the future."

"Alright, twins, huh. I need to think carefully about what meaningful name to choose." Phillip was quite stirred, his eyes even getting a little red.

Ethan was about to say that naming the kids wasn’t something Phillip needed to worry about, but decided against it at the last second.

"Ethan is really a lucky guy, having a son and a daughter in one go." Lauren said almost jealously. Only had one child for the person she loved was a regret in her perfect life. Jacob understood his wife's feelings at the moment, but he didn't mind the kid stuff at all. Even with just one daughter, he felt very fulfilled, so he discreetly squeezed her hand.

Lauren smiled, indicating it was just a fleeting lament.

Phillip was the happiest at the scene, and Erica was also very happy, her smile so wide it was ear to ear. She patted Ethan's shoulder: "Good job."

Just then, Silvia came in. She stood at the door, seeing that no one paid any attention to her, she walked in, came straight to Phillip's bed and said: "Phillip, I just heard from the nurse that you were also hospitalized, so I came to see you."

The smile on Phillip's face disappeared, and he looked at Silvia sternly, "I'm fine, you go back to your own room."

"Phillip, I'm sorry, what I said before was just me being emotional. If it made you feel uncomfortable, I'm truly sorry." Silvia said, then bowed her head. She had cooled down and realized that what she had said was indeed impulsive. Phillip was the kindest to her among all the Meyer family members, and she shouldn't have said those things to him.

"I accept your apology, but I must tell you that you have nothing to do with the Meyer family from now on, and you don't need to call me Phillip." Phillip said.
