Ines pursed her lips and said, "Alright then, but can the person you mentioned come over as soon as possible? I've been feeling a bit under the weather recently and I'd like to stay home to prepare for the baby."
Ethan chuckled softly, gently pinching Ines' nose, "No problem, I'll give him a call later and ask him to fly over tonight. He should arrive by tomorrow. You can hand over the work to him in the afternoon. He's a fast learner and quite experienced in this field. One day should be enough for him to grasp everything."
"Wouldn't that be a hassle for him? Maybe we can talk about this tomorrow? I'm not in a rush."
"Don't worry, I've already discussed it with him. He's prepared to come over at any time. He's a friend of mine, so you don't have to be overly polite with him."
Ines gave a small smile, "Alright then, it's decided. I'm feeling a bit tired, so I'd like to rest early."
"Let's go together. I can give you a massage."
"You go ahead with your work first. Come over when you're finished."
"It's okay. I can deal with the work later. I need to take care of my queen first." Ethan said jokingly.
Ines pretended to be angry and glared at Ethan, "You sweet-talker. Don't call me that in the future."
"What should I call you then?" Ethan feigned distress.
Ines laughed and playfully kicked him, then looped her arm through his, "Mr. Meyer, stop sweet-talking me. Just call me by my name."
Ethan chuckled and walked out of the study with his arm around Ines.
The next day, Ethan indeed brought a man to the Galeana Group as he promised. Ines was expecting someone older, but he turned out to be quite young and handsome, even appearing younger than her.
"Izzy, this is the professional manager I mentioned, my good friend, Herschel," Ethan introduced.
"Ms. Galeana, nice to meet you," Herschel greeted.
"You don't have to be so formal. Just call her Izzy," Ethan chuckled.
"Yes, since you're Ethan's friend, just call me Izzy. May I ask a question?" Ines asked with a hint of a smile.
Without hesitation, Herschel answered, "If you're asking about my age, I'm just one year younger than Ethan, so I'm 33."
Ines was taken aback and chuckled awkwardly, "You don't look it at all." She thought he was at most 25, not expecting him to be even younger than Ethan, who was turning 34 soon.
Herschel was unfazed, "You're not the first to think I'm younger. My face does make me look youthful, and it has misled many people."
"Izzy, Herschel already has two kids, a 7-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter," Ethan explained, patting Ines' hair with a smile.
Ines looked at Ethan, then laughed, "No wonder your grandfather and mother were so keen on getting you married, you're really lagging behind your peers in this aspect."
