Another week had flown by, and baby was at 39 weeks now.
Ethan had also been working from home a lot, and Camela had everything ready for the hospital, but there was still no sign of the twins making an appearance.
Ines was feeling a little uneasy, and Ethan was also anxious. They went to the hospital for a check-up and found out that everything, including the baby's position, was normal.
The doctor said if there was still no movement in another week, they would have to do a C-section to avoid any accidents. But a whole day went by and Ines felt something was off. The usually mischievous twins suddenly became quiet, and they weren't moving around as much, which had Ines on edge.
"Camela, the babies don't seem as active today, do they?"
Seeing how nervous Ines was, Camela held her hand and said, "Izzy, don't stress out. Try to count and tell me how many times they moved today."
"From last night till now, they've moved about 10 times or so, which is less than before."
Hearing this, Camela let out a sigh of relief, "No worries, it's totally normal. It's been almost 12 hours since last night, and the babies moving 10 times or so is normal."
"Why is that?"
"The babies are developing well and it's late in the pregnancy, their space to move has become smaller. It's normal for them to move less frequently. It would only be abnormal if they moved less than 10 times within 12 hours."
Hearing Camela's explanation, Ines finally calmed down. But with nothing to do, she was still a bit anxious.
"Camela, can you find me something to do to distract me? Otherwise, this is going to be a long day."
"You could read a book."
Ines shook her head slightly, looking uncomfortable, "I tried, but I can't concentrate. I zone out after reading for a bit."
Camela thought for a moment, then handed a small piece of clothing to Ines, smiling, "Well then, I'll teach you how to make clothes."
"I can't do it."
"You can learn slowly."
Ethan took the children's matters very seriously, especially their clothes. He didn't trust the clothes on the market at all, insisted on buying the fabric himself and having Camela make them. He believed only then can he feel at ease.
Camela had been taking care of Ines' emotions, teaching her to make clothes while chatting about the babies.
It might be a mother's nature. Whenever the conversation turned to children, Ines became a different person. Although she didn't learn how to make clothes, after two or three hours, Ines' nerves gradually calmed down.
Camela saw that Ines was almost falling asleep and let her go back to the bedroom to sleep. Ines was probably really tired; she slept until Camela finished cooking.
