Broken Memories, Intertwined Hearts novel Chapter 430

Ines had been lying in the hospital for over a month, and her two little ones had been with her the whole time. If anyone wanted to see them, they had to come to the hospital.

The kids, however, didn’t seem to mind. As long as they were with their mom and dad, they were happy.

Erica, their grandmother, had tried to take them home once. But when she did, the well-behaved angels turned into little devils, so no one dared to bring up the idea again.

On the Galeana Group side, Herschel and Silas were around, so there was no chance of chaos. However, the Meyer Group was in a bind. With Ethan and Erica spending all their time in the hospital, there was no one to run the company. It wasn’t a problem for a short period, but as time went on, things started to get shaky.

“Mom, you should go back to the company,” Ethan suggested. “Camela and I can handle things here. The company needs a leader right now.”

Erica agreed, albeit reluctantly. She knew the situation was dire. “You and Camela alone won’t be enough. You need to handle work and take care of Izzy. I’ll call and hire a nanny.”

“Okay, we’ll do it your way, Mom.”

Erica was quick to act. She decided in the morning and by noon the nanny was in place. She was a woman in her mid-thirties named Moria, and did things quickly and efficiently.

The kids, now six months old, were in the phase where they grabbed anything they could. Under adult supervision, they could sit up. Whenever Camela and Moria had time, they would prop the kids up to play.

To make the room more kid-friendly, Ethan had a corner of the room carpeted and brought in some toys from home. The siblings had a field to play happily.

“Hey, my little darlings, Phoebe’s here,” Phoebe came in during her lunch break, which was a routine she had established.

The kids recognized her and giggled at the sound of her voice. Phoebe sat on the floor, cuddling the little one, and gave her a big kiss, “Are you good babies today, my little darlings?”

Little Ivy, giggling and trying to burrow into Phoebe’s arms, was greeted by Phoebe’s nose nuzzling her cheek. “You’ve changed a lot, little princess, and I must say, for the better.”

Noel had also come along with Phoebe and played with Ollie on the side.

Just as Phoebe was about to seat Ivy next to Ines, the little girl reached for Ines’ hair. Phoebe quickly stopped Ivy’s little hand, holding her tiny but naughty hand, “Ivy, no mischief now. Don’t disturb your mom. Your dad will be mad at you.”

Ivy pouted and gave Phoebe the puppy eyes.

Phoebe, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, tapped her little nose, “No playing cute with me, young lady. You can’t cross your dad’s line, not even if you’re his little princess.”
