Chapter 276
Chapter 276
Ella couldn’t believe what she was seeing. The person she had worked so hard to protect, the one she had gone out of her way to defend, had turned out to be nothing but a thankless, heartless monster.
She thought even a dog would have better loyalty than this.
Furious, Ella shot up from the bed and slapped Bianca across the face with all her strength.
“You little tramp,” Ella spat.

“Here you are, a woman who’s been humiliated at her own wedding, rejected by the Scott family, and still, you have no shame. The Yeats family has taken you in out of kindness, but look at you–complaining even when I give you medicine. If you don’t want to be here, then get out. The Yeats family can’t afford to keep you anymore.”
Bianca was in shock. She hadn’t expected Ella to have this kind of strength. Clutching her stinging cheek, she snapped, grabbing Ella and pulling her off the bed.
Ella’s words had struck a nerve. If not for Finley calling off their wedding, Bianca would have been the beloved young mistress of the Scott family, living a life of luxury. Instead, she was stuck in the now–bankrupt Yeats family, a far cry from the life she had imagined.
The Yeats family was bankrupt.
Even the money she had given to Jepson for medical treatment had been reduced to IOUS under Trista’s pressure.
Trista had been more than lenient, not even asking for interest, but Bianca had suffered enough.
Back when Finley was pursuing her, he had treated his mother with utter disdain, pushing her aside at every turn. Now, as he realized his monumental mistake, he tried to reconcile with his family–his parents, his elders, even Elaine–but no one would listen.
Trista had already decided she was done with him, her patience exhausted. As far as the Scott family was concerned, Finley wasn’t fit to inherit the family business. They’d rather have another child, someone who could actually carry the weight of the family name.
Now, without their backing, Finley was just another failed businessman, stripped of the privileges that came with being the heir to the Scott fortune.
His life, once filled with luxury, was now a harsh reminder of what he had lost. He couldn’t even bring himself to care about Bianca anymore, and in his bitterness, he blamed her for everything.
But to Elaine, it was clear: Finley wasn’t taking responsibility for his own failures. He and Bianca had always been a disaster waiting to happen, and now that they were both disgusted by each other, it was almost laughable.
Bianca, seeing her life in ruins, snapped at the old woman who had once been so kind to her. “You old hag. You really think you’re in charge here? Look at what you’ve become. You should be grateful I’m even giving you medicine. And what about your precious grandsons? Why aren’t they here taking care of you?”
Ella, unable to take the insults any longer, snapped. She flew at Bianca in a rage, slapping her and tearing at her hair.
“I’ll kill you! I’ll destroy you! Don’t you dare forget who made you what you are. I can build you up, but I can just as easily crush you underfoot, like an ant!”
Bianca had never seen Ella so furious, but Ella’s strength was beyond what she expected. The two women grappled, each struggling for dominance, but Ella, far stronger than Bianca had anticipated, managed to overpower her. She yanked Bianca’s hair so hard that Bianca screamed in pain, her voice echoing through the room.
Ella’s anger was blinding, and she began to berate Bianca with venom. “We raised you, took you in, gave you a life better

than most ladies of high society. And this is how you repay us? A thankless, heartless creature, you’re nothing more then as orphan with no real family. You dare to talk back to me?”
At that moment, someone burst in, hearing the commotion.
“Grandma!” Harlan cried.
Seeing his grandmother gripping Bianca’s hair, cursing, and practically dragging her across the floor, he rushed forward to separate them.
“What the hell is going on here?!”
Bianca was a mess, her hair torn out in chunks, scattered across the floor like debris. Large patches of her scalp were exposed, bloody and raw.
Harlan couldn’t believe his eyes. “Bianca, what…”
Ella’s rage was unmatched. She had always been a force to be reckoned with when it came to running the family business, but this? This was something else. She had torn Bianca’s hair out with a fury that surprised even Harlan. Half of Bianca’s hair was now gone, leaving her looking unrecognizable.
And to make matters worse, Ella, in her fury, grabbed the cup of hot water she had meant for Bianca’s medicine and threw it over her head, scalding her scalp.
Bianca screamed as the hot water hit her, her skin burning. Her hair was ruined, and with the burns and damage to her follicles, it was uncertain if she would ever regrow it.
The once–beautiful Bianca now looked like a monster, with blood seeping from her scalp, her image shattered beyond recognition.
“Harlan, Grandma… I don’t know what’s happening. Why is Grandma acting like this? I’m so scared, what if she kills me?” Bianca whimpered, playing the helpless victim, her voice high–pitched and fragile as she turned to Harlan, hoping for his protection.
But Harlan, still stunned by what he was witnessing, took a step back, unable to mask his shock. Bianca, though feigning weakness, looked more terrifying than ever.
“Bianca…” Harlan murmured, horrified. “Your hair…”
Bianca, still confused, ran to the mirror. When she saw her reflection, her blood ran cold.
She was bald in patches, her once–luscious hair reduced to a bloody mess, her head looking like a nightmare. She screamed, horrified by what she saw. She threw the mirror away in a panic, desperate to seek medical help.
