Came Back as an Heiress After My Ex-Fiancé Made Me Blind novel Chapter 14

The street view outside the car rapidly receded.

Victoria couldn't help but notice that ever since she got into the car, Jack hadn't looked at the documents anymore. Instead, his distinct knuckles gently caressed a barely noticeable scar on his left wrist, almost resembling a toothmark.

Noticing her inquisitive gaze, Jack casually said, "I was bitten by a little wild cat."

He seemed to recall something and raised his eyebrows.

"Sharp fangs and quite ferocious."

The tooth mark on his wrist was when Victoria grabbed his wrist and bit it when the two of them were arguing.

She didn't expect him to remember it so clearly after so long.

Besides, didn't he use ointment to remove the scar? Why was there a toothmark left?

Jack wouldn't have seen this tooth mark every day, and he would have to remember in his heart that she once bit him.

Victoria touched her nose and looked at the street scene outside the car with a guilty conscience.

Jack didn't say anything. He slowly stared at her fair face. His fingertips stroked the teeth marks on his wrist over and over again.

Victoria could of course feel that he was looking at her. The man's gaze made her feel like she was on pins and needles. She turned her head uncomfortably.

Before she could say anything, she met the man's dark, dark eyes.

He raised his eyebrows slightly, and said in a playful tone, "What's wrong, little Victoria do you want to bite me again?"

Little Victoria...

These two words came out from the man's lips. His voice was lazy and hooking, with a trace of indescribable lingering. Victoria's heartbeat suddenly stopped.

When she was a child, Jack did often call her that.

Wait, who wanted to bite him?

Not long after, the car drove to the Moore Family Manor.

The carved iron gate slowly opened to both sides, and the car drove into the manor.

Victoria saw through the car window that the scenery of this manor was particularly elegant. A vast artificial lake shimmered not far away, accompanied by a flower garden filled with rare flowers and plants.

In the distance, there were vineyards and orchards, far larger than the Montgomery family's villa.

The car stopped in front of a fountain.

The manor's servants surrounded an old man on crutches and waited anxiously beside the fountain.

The old man had gray hair and was leaning on a cane, but his spirit was still vibrant. His eyes carried the wisdom of time

Although he hadn't seen him for a long time, Victoria recognized him at a glance. It was Grandfather Moore.

After getting out of the car, Victoria immediately stepped forward to greet him, his eyes moistened, "Hello, Grandfather Moore!"

“Ah, good, good!" John Moore finally saw a familiar face, gripping Victoria's hand affectionately, "little Victoria, Grandfather has been eagerly awaiting your return!"

"Grandfather, have you been well?"

"Don't worry, my old bones are tough!" The old man looked at Victoria, his eyes full of pity, "You've lost weight; you've been through a lot, but you're still as beautiful as ever!"

Victoria smiled sweetly, and even her moist eyes curved up.

It was no exaggeration to say that Victoria had been beautiful since she was a child, with her delicate facial features and picturesque features.

Especially those eyes, they were clear and pure, like a bright spring under the moonlight, as if the entire starry sky was reflected within them.

The Old man adored her. He treated her like his own granddaughter.

He handed his cane to the servants.
