Came Back as an Heiress After My Ex-Fiancé Made Me Blind novel Chapter 15

An hour later.

Victoria followed Jack out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, looked at the red notebook in his hand, and fell into deep thought.

Why was she suddenly married?

Why did she suddenly have another husband?

Victoria, puzzled, grabbed Jack's hand, her little face full of confusion. "Why did you suddenly agree to get married?"

Jack glanced at her and pulled his hand. His voice was low and hoarse "When my grandfather suggested registering just now, you looked at me, didn't you want me to agree?"

Victoria was utterly speechless.

"When did I ask you to agree to the registration? I wanted you to reject your grandfather's proposal."

Jack seemed to react now and looked regretful. "So that's the case. I'll be wrong. Victoria won't blame me, right?"

Why does it sound a bit passive-aggressive?

She really couldn't understand it. Was he deliberately provoking her again?

Before going to bed at night, Victoria was sadly arranged by Grandfather Moore into Jack's bedroom.

Looking at the only bed in the room, Victoria felt a headache.

Fortunately, Jack had an urgent video conference and went to the study to handle his work.

While he was away, Victoria decided to take a shower first, mainly because she hadn't properly treated the cuts on her shins caused by glass shards.

Walking into the bathroom, Victoria turned on the shower.

The small wounds on her legs had not healed yet, and they hurt badly when they got wet. However, her band-aids weren't waterproof, so she had to endure it.

The hot water rushed down from the top of her head and washed away her fatigue from the day.

It was not until she finished taking a shower that Victoria realized that she had forgotten to bring in a change of clothes.

Fortunately, Jack was not around, so she could go out and get it.

Victoria picked up the bath towel, roughly wrapped it around her body, and opened the glass door of the bathroom.

The next moment, Victoria froze in place as if she had been paralyzed. She remained motionless, holding the door open.

The man standing in front of the window...

When did he come back?

Maybe she didn't hear him because of the loud shower.

The moment Victoria opened the glass door of the bathroom, Jack heard the movement and subconsciously turned his head to look over.

Immediately, he saw that Victoria was barefoot, and her wet black hair was clinging to the sides of her cheeks, making her skin whiter and more brittle.

The woman was wrapped in a bath towel, but it was loose, revealing her delicate white collarbone, and the soft arc on her chest was looming

The length of the towel covered her thighs, revealing two white legs that were long enough to attract everyone's attention.

Very eye-catching.

Seeing this beautiful scene, Jack's usually calm face slightly twitched, and then he raised an eyebrow ever so slightly.

Victoria quickly reacted! She slammed the bathroom door and hid back.

‘Help! This is so embarrassing!’

She wished she could find a hole to crawl into!

At this moment, the man's hoarse voice came through the bathroom door, "Do you need any help?"

Ah, he must have guessed it, right?

Guess she didn't bring her clothes in.

Victoria swallowed hard and said dryly, "Um...please hand me the change of clothes and I placed them by the bed, thank you!"

Jack followed and saw it on the stool beside the bed.
