After a brief chat with Ralph, Jack hung up the phone.
Whether Victoria had anything to do with the Preston family would soon be found out.
Just in case, it's better to wait until the exact results are found before telling her.
Jack turned back to the bedroom and found that Victoria was still happily talking on the phone with Elizabeth. How long had they been talking? Did they have so much to talk about?
Jack frowned slightly, glanced at Victoria on the bed, and turned to go to the bathroom to take a shower.
He took off his clothes, revealing his well-defined abdominal muscles and slender waist, presenting a sexy and elegant sense of power and beauty.
The hot water washed down, and the curling mist blurred the space...
After taking a shower, Jack came out wearing a bathrobe, his hair not completely dry, but still somewhat damp. His black hair hung on his forehead, accentuating his fair complexion.
His gaze shifted towards Victoria on the bed, good, she hadn't finished her call yet.
Jack squinted his eyes slightly and walked over, but Victoria was so engrossed in her conversation with Elizabeth that she didn't notice him approaching.
Jack bent down, loosened the collar of his bathrobe, and patted Victoria's head.
What?
Victoria raised her head suspiciously, but as she did, she saw the man's open bathrobe collar, plunging into the enticing scenery.
Jack pointed to her phone.
Thinking he had something important, Victoria said a few words to Elizabeth and hung up, then mischievously reached out to touch his sexy collarbone. "What's wrong?"
Jack swept a deep glance at her restless hand and expressionlessly slapped her hand away.
Victoria was instantly stunned and widened her eyes.
He wouldn't let her touch him?
He didn't even let her touch him??
"Why did you slap my hand away?" Victoria looked at him incredulously, her face full of disbelief.
"You've been chatting with Elizabeth for so long, do you have that much to talk about?" Jack's tone was indifferent, tinged with a hint of sourness.
Victoria was bemused.
Why did it sound so much like a husband jealous of his secluded wife?
Victoria cleared her throat, and blinked in confusion, "Why do I feel like... you're vying for my attention?"
Jack didn't dodge the question, standing by the bed, looking down at her, "Yes, I'm jealous."
Victoria joked, "Haha, you're really petty, you even get jealous."
Jack stared blankly.
His face remained calm, but his eyelids twitched slightly without making a sound.
After finishing her cold joke, Victoria noticed his lack of reaction and figured she had chilled the mood.
The man's eyelashes were long, and his dense eyelashes drooped. The warm light from overhead shone on him, casting a faint shadow under his eyelids.
For some reason, the sight of his lowered lashes struck a chord with Victoria.
Her fingers began to itch again, unable to resist the urge to touch him, she hastily said, "Okay, okay, I was wrong. So what now?"
Jack said, "Appease me."
Victoria blinked, then blinked again, she opened her arms and hugged him, "Isn't that simple! Just appease you, whatever you want me to do, I'll do it! Come, let me touch you first!"
Jack remained silent...
...
The next day, they returned to Imperial Gardens.
When Carl came over, he saw Victoria talking to his brother in a soft voice. She had never been so gentle before.
Carl was filled with curiosity, "What's going on with you guys?"
Victoria casually poured a glass of water for Jack and replied to Carl, "Your brother is throwing a tantrum, I am cheering him up."
Carl was puzzled.
What's going on?
His brother was throwing a tantrum?
Carl swallowed nervously, looking at his brother incredulously, this...
why did it feel like the roles of boyfriend and girlfriend were reversed again?
Jack glanced at him lightly.
