Came Back as an Heiress After My Ex-Fiancé Made Me Blind novel Chapter 331

Michael nodded, his tone calm but firm, "Yes, do another DNA test."

Mrs. Preston was a little puzzled and turned to look at her husband in confusion.

Mr. Preston pondered for a moment and asked hesitantly, "Michael, do you think there were problems with the first two tests?"

Michael said, "Yes."

Mrs. Preston was first stunned, then pleasantly surprised.

If there was a problem with the previous two paternity tests, it meant that the conclusion that Victoria had no blood relationship with them might be wrong.

However, doing another DNA test would be too much trouble for Victoria?

Anyone would find it annoying to be asked to draw blood for identification again and again, right?

Mrs. Preston was worried, and asked in distress, "Michael, Ralph, how did you find out that there were problems with the first two tests?"

Ralph vigilantly walked to the door to check it out. This was the presidential suite, and at the moment, only their family of four was inside. The assistants and bodyguards accompanying them were outside the door and couldn't hear their conversation.

Ralph walked back and told them about Jack's phone call yesterday.

A hint of surprise flashed across Mr. Preston's refined and reserved face, "Dr. Duke has a problem?"

Mrs. Preston was no less surprised than her husband.

Elon Duke was the Preston family's personal doctor. He had worked for the Preston family for many years and had always been trustworthy.

Moreover, Dr. Duke was also middle-aged, and Mr. and Mrs. Preston usually treated him as a friend.

Now suddenly saying... Dr. Duke was a problem.

Ralph narrowed his eyes, "After receiving Jack's call last night, my brother and I conducted a secret investigation into Dr. Duke. We found that he did have some dealings with Willow Sullivan. On the surface, his relationship with her was not intimate. They occasionally contacted each other, and apart from that, we didn't find anything suspicious."

Hearing Willow's name, Mrs. Preston's expression turned slightly cold. She had been paying attention to Victoria online recently and naturally knew that Willow was very hostile to Victoria.

Mrs. Preston asked with concern, "How could Dr. Duke have any dealings with that lady? According to their ages, isn't Dr. Duke old enough to be her uncle?"

Ralph shook his head, "I haven't found out what kind of relationship he has with Willow yet."

With his hands behind his back, Preston's father's eyes, seasoned by the years, became deep and contemplative: "Before the cooperation between Dr. Duke and the Preston family, I had someone investigate his background, and at that time, nothing suspicious was found."

After a two-second pause, Mr. Preston asked cautiously, "Jack Moore's words, are they credible?"

After only a second of contemplation, Michael vouched, "Father, he is absolutely reliable."

Mr. Preston was surprised, "Do you trust him so much?"

Michael shook his head slightly: "It's not that I trust Jack, but this matter is related to Victoria, so Jack wouldn't make a mistake."

He believed in Jack's feelings for Victoria.

Mr. Preston sighed in frustration. After all, he had been friends with Dr. Duke for many years and found it difficult to accept it.

However, Mr. Preston had taken power at a young age. He was not a stupid person, nor was he a soft-hearted man. If Elon Duke was a problem, he would definitely deal with him.

Moreover, if Dr. Duke had really tampered with the DNA test, it would have hindered the Preston family from finding their daughter.

Why?

There was something suspicious about the loss of their youngest daughter all those years ago...

Mr. Preston pondered for a moment and looked at his two sons, asking, "What do you think?"

Ralph said, "Meet Victoria tomorrow and convince her to do another paternity test. This time, have two doctors do it—one by Dr. Duke and the other by a reputable doctor from the hospital. However, we need to keep this from Dr. Duke, letting him think that he's the only one doing it. When the test reports come out, we'll know if the results match and if Dr. Duke has tampered with it."

Mr. Preston pondered for a few seconds and nodded, "Okay."

Mrs. Preston couldn't help but feel nervous. Tomorrow was the last chance to verify if Victoria was her daughter.
