Camp Closeted novel Chapter 21

Benny awkwardly stood at least 3 ft away from me as his mouth moved side to side, his arms crossed as he looked like he was thinking about what to say to me.

I began to button my shirtless body up as I stared at him, amused. I felt a rising temptation in laughing at the awkwardness but he finally broke the silence.

"I'm about to do something I've never actually done in my whole life before, so you should feel somewhat thankful." Benny's voice was low as his eyes shifted left and right, not meeting my deep gaze. "I'm going to apologize." I rapidly snorted, making him unconsciously crack a smile.

Benny quickly tried to hide his smile with a serious look, only making the both of us explode out in complete laughter. "I hate you, let me speak." Benny's hands went over his face as I began to notice how taller I was than him. "Ima keep it real, I overreacted yesterday. And I guess I was just annoyed that I liked Miles for so long and he noticed you before me. So, sorry I guess." He shrugged.

"Don't even apologize." I smiled as he playfully threw me a disgusted as I hugged him, his head forcefully going against my chest. "I was so scared to lose you as a friend Benny. Not even going to lie, you're the very first genuine friend I've ever made in my life." I whispered.

"Well you're genuine friend is suffocating." Benny coughed into my shirt as his face was completely buried in it because of my tight hug around him. I chuckled deeply as he pushed me away. "Damn boy what you got on? You smell like a full course meal, almost made me forget about Miles for a second."

"You like it?" I asked about my cologne. "I wanted to dress casual but smell classy since I don't know how the bonfire is gonna be like."

Benny threw his head back as he evilly cackled. "Oh honey it's gonna be musty as hell. Logan and I made it sound like everyone's just gonna bring out their camping chairs then peacefully sit and watch the bonfire from afar when that's literally not the situation, at all."

My eyebrows raised as Benny continued speaking. "Okay so what the bonfire is, is this major event that every single camp around here has to do and Camp Closeted is the first one to host it this year. It means a lot of hot ass people from other camps are gonna come here for it."

My mouth was left widened as I finally replied. "Wait, so it's not just a huge relaxing hang out?" I asked.

Benny waved his hands no as I sat down in bed, rethinking my choice in going or not. "Oh bitch It's far from a relaxing hangout. It's basically a huge event where people get fucked up, dance all up on each other, make out, shit some even leave and do the dirty." My mouth widened even farther as I only knew about this now.

"B-Benny I've never been to a place like that before." My voice was shocked as I had to sit down on my bed. "I don't think I wanna go anymore."

"What?" Benny snapped his neck back at me as his lips crinkled in confusion. "Why?"

"I'm not a party person." I shrugged, anxiously biting my lip as he let out a loud groan in annoyance.

"Micah how do you know you're not a party person if you've never been to a party before?" He asked. "Honey you need to go out and live! Just stay with Logan the whole night and you'll be fine."

"Is there gonna be alcohol?" I ran my hand through my hair as I laid back against my bed.

"Knowing Cadence is gonna be there, most likely alcohol and weed." Benny replied, making me tiredly sigh. "Not to be a bad friend or anything, but why not get fucked up right?"

"Benny!" I half-laughed. "You want me to do both alcohol and weed? What the hell."

"I'm not saying do them both. Look I'm just saying, if it comes down to it, whatever happens after you choose to get fucked up, will make one hell of a story." He grinned, making me laugh as I looked to the side.
