Joey looked at the little girl whose face was red because of crying. He rubbed her forehead lovingly. Perhaps it was because Maggie's skin was too tender that she cried so hard that her whole face turned red. At a loss, Joey tried to coaxed the child, picked up grapes from the table in the hall and fed them. Unexpectedly, she clapped his hand and said, "I want my mom..."
Holding Maggie in her arms, Joey panicked and coaxed in a low voice, "Babe, don't cry. Babe, don't cry..."
He could only this sentence which learned from his father.
Thinking of the little boy of Zhao Family who liked candies the most, Joey tried to coax his little girl with candies as well.
However, before the blush on her face faded away, Maggie cried again, "I don't eat candies. I don't want worms on my teeth. Dad is a bad guy!"
Joey was stunned. Regardless of the bad guy mentioned by Maggie, he added a lot of snacks to coax her. During this period, the angry little princess slapped him many times as he couldn't avoid it.
Finally, he listened to the servant's advice and coaxed the little princess with her mother.
He took Maggie upstairs to the Princess Room. As what Lois did usually, He prepared a bath water for Maggie. Maggie played with bubbles with a depressed face.
Joey wanted to interact with her, but was refused by Maggie. She curled her lips and said, "I don't want dad!"
Joey wanted to tell her the common sense of safety, but was interrupted by the little princess who was crying and calling her mother.
Looking at the size and height of the bathtub, Joey thought it was safe, so he left the bathroom and waited outside for the little princess's order.
Maggie sobbed from time to time in the bathroom. She called her mother in a pitiful voice.
Joey took the materials from the study to make the work plan for the next quarter. After an hour, he threw away the materials and rushed into the bathroom. Maggie had fallen asleep by the bathtub with tears all over her face.
Joey picked up the little girl and went back to the bedroom.
Looking at the little girl's pale face in the bed, Joey felt powerless all of a sudden.
When Lois was about to go to bed, her phone rang. She picked it up and looked at the familiar name. She frowned and answered it.
"Mom..." Maggie's voice was weak and hoarse, different from usual.
"Maggie! Maggie, what's wrong with you? "
"Mommy, where are you? Maggie miss you so much. Maggie Miss mommy so much..."
"Maggie, don't hang up. Wait for me. I'll be right there." Restless, Lois put on a long windbreaker and went downstairs with the key.
After talking to her daughter all the way, Lois rushed to the villa of Gu Family.
When she arrived at the villa, Maggie's face was red and her lips were pale, but Joey was not at home.
When Lois asked her about her father, Maggie curled her lips in grievance and said, "Dad answered the phone and went out, but he hasn't come back."
With red eyes, Lois held Maggie in his arms. That woman was so important that she could make Joey leave Maggie who was having a fever.
Or maybe Joey was cruel to her and Maggie as well.
Holding her daughter tightly, Lois burst into tears.
Wiping away her tears, Lois put down Maggie, took out a thin quilt from the cabinet, wrapped Maggie, and went downstairs with the child in her arms.
She turned on the navigation and drove to the nearest hospital.
Sitting on the back seat, Maggie's face flushed, which made people feel sorry for her.
"Did Maggie have dinner tonight?" Lois looked at her sleepy daughter from the rearview mirror, hoping to attract her attention.
The little girl nodded obediently and said, "yes. But Mommy was not here. The food is not delicious."
Lois praised her with a smile, "Maggie, you're such a good girl. Can I have breakfast with you tomorrow morning?"
