Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 133

Chapter 0133

Unaware of the arrangements made by Ethan on W******p, Madison busied herself with model aircraft in the office. By the time Ethan wrapped up his tasks, and they returned to the Mu Lake Vistas, Jessica and Amelia had already settled in the living room.

Madison chatted cheerfully with them for a while before excusing herself to change clothes. Ethan seized this opportunity to signal the girls into his study.

Lighting a cigarette, Ethan leaned against the window sill and

addressed Amelia, “Later, a friend will visit, a female captain who’s joining us next week and my mother’s protégée. I’m having you over mainly for your knack for conversation.”

Prowess in conversation?

What exactly was she supposed to articulate?

Amelia, unsure of the nature of their relationship, tentatively inquired, ” Um… President Grant, if I may, what kind of conversation skills do you want me to employ?”

Before she could finish, Jessica abruptly dragged her away to the first -floor balcony.

Panting with hands on hips, Jessica looked at Amelia, who was puzzled by her exhaustion from just a few steps.

“It’s not that!”

Jessica’s gaze was severe and urgent: “Amelia.”

Caught off-guard by the use of her full name, Amelia was somewhat startled: “…Yes?”

“That woman, Shi Hua, used to follow my brother around since she was young. After her mother died, my mom took her in for a few years. How to put it… she’s probably got a crush on my brother,” Jessica revealed.

“And so?”

Amelia was bewildered.

Was she supposed to speak well or ill?

“But I really, really dislike her. And from what I just heard, she’s been quite the passive-aggressive pain in the neck in Mukino

International’s flight department chat, targeting my idol! I can’t stand it! Amelia, as the princess of Mukino International, I command you to utterly quash her today!”

Amelia blinked, her mind whirring swiftly.

Fine then, she smiled, “Worry not, Your Highness. Consider it done!”

“Ding-dong-”

As the doorbell chimed, Madison alone in the living room set down a flight magazine and went to answer it.

The woman outside paused her smile when she saw Madison, who stood at the threshold, seemingly guessing the visitor’s identity yet asked anyway, “You are…?”

Shi Hua, poised and confident, her eyes radiating self-assurance, introduced herself, “I am Shi Hua.”

She seemed to expect that stating her name would earn her special.

treatment.

However, the reality was different.

Madison didn’t act subservient; instead, she arched an eyebrow, “Shi Hua? Which Shi Hua?”

Caught off-guard, Shi Hua sputtered.

Madison’s smile was genuine, as if belatedly realizing, “Oh, you must

be the new senior from the company, Shi Hua. Is that you?”

It seemed too authentic to be feigned, which rendered Shi Hua frustrated but unable to show it, forcing herself to nod in agreement,

Yes.”

“Please, come in.”

Madison stepped back, welcoming her inside.

Shi Hua arrived alone, handing over her gifts casually to Madison, Could you put these aside for me?”

Usually, Madison wouldn’t mind such a request, a simple favor, really.

But…

The words she had inadvertently overheard from Jessica and Ame

filled her mind.

She liked Ethan?

So, Charlie’s words had some merit.

Unbeknownst to all, Madison was not one to be trifled with her habit was simply to avoid confrontation.

Both alumni of the First Flight Academy, was she any less?

Hadn’t she too flown international routes?

Feel inferior?

Hardly.

So, Madison didn’t take the gifts.

A hint of long-suppressed mischief seemed to stir within her, “Sorry, senior, my arm’s been a bit sore these days, not good for carrying things.”

“Brother Jia, could you kindly have someone take care of senior’s gifts?”

Brother Jia promptly approached, receiving the two gift boxes from

Shi Hua’s hands..

Thus, Shi Hua cast a profound glance at the woman with an innocent

face beside her.

Was she acting, or had Shi Hua read too much into it?

She always felt this woman wasn’t as simple as she seemed.

Shi Hua smiled politely, “Do take care of that arm.”

“Thank you for your concern, senior.

Shi Hua then turned as if well-acquainted with the place, striding toward the second-floor study.

“Ethan? Ethan, I’m here.”

They seemed quite familiar with each other.

In the living room outside the study, Jessica and Amelia were busy with the newly issued winter uniforms.

Hearing the voice, Amelia was the first to comment, a look of

impatience on her face, “Who’s making such a racket? Which servant? Haven’t they been trained beforehand?”

Appearing on the second floor, Shi Hua demanded, “Who are your calling a servant?”

Amelia blinked innocently, “And you are?”

Jessica didn’t lift her head.

Yet Shi Hua approached her with a greeting, “Cen Cen, is that you?”

At the nickname, Jessica bristled, finally looking up in feigned.

surprise, “Shi Hua?”

Shi Hua’s smile unfurled, arms spreading for an embrace.

Just as they were about to hug, Jessica dodged aside with the stewardess uniform, “Sorry, this just got ironed; I can’t let it wrinkle. I need to hang it up first.”

Shi Hua stood there, arms still outstretched, but her robust psyche kept her from feeling slighted, assuming Jessica’s move was
