CEO Husband's Crazy Love For His Little Wife novel Chapter 2

"Brother, how is it?" Nina holds the dress and moves around happily to show it to her brother.

Her innocent eyes asked for praise; this was her first ever going out without restriction from her brother; suddenly, this feeling of freedom made her feel she finally became an adult.

This joy became a beautiful memory in her life. This was her first party with her crush; that man invited her because he wanted her to be his partner for the night, which made her go crazy from excitement.

Ever since she laid eyes on that man, he was the first to treat her like an adult who doesn't need bodyguards to babysit around 24/7; she is tired of their gaze and overprotectiveness.

David Xiver raised his head and looked at the girl before him with expressionless eyes. "Yes." It was the truth. But, in his eyes, there was no beautiful woman in his eyes other than his sisters.

Nor did he ever look carefully at any other woman other than his sister, so it was no surprise he never thought like that, even when he was close to his 30s,

no woman got his attention, even though no one imagined this cold-hearted man would also have a day when he would cry over a girl.

"Brother, I'll be back soon," Nina said bye to her brother and left with six bodyguards tailing behind her; David looked at their backs for a while and turned back.

Before she left, she gave him the information he wanted; she just said that Andrew had invited her.

David looked at the invitation card and sighed; it was the birthday of A country's president's daughter; she just turned 25 today.

The president invited him, but he refused because he hated any place where people showed off their wealth and threw women at people to show their intention.

What he hated the most in his life was any woman who threw themselves at him.

For the first time, he went against his willpower and gave her permission to go out, but suddenly he felt like it would've been better if he had refused her, but there was no turning back.

But the sudden uneasy feeling bothered him so much that he wanted to follow her.

Aunt Lin returned with a coffee mug and put it before David. "Since you're so worried, why not refuse her in the first place?"

Aunt Lin knew David was dead worried about Nina; that girl was so naïve that even she would think the world was black and white.

David coughed; even though he tried to hide his worry, Aunt Lin still caught it; he grabbed the cup and took a sip

"I know what she yawned the most, so if I keep her under control like before, she would soon become irritated and frustrated; at this age,

people need freedom, otherwise, they might have different thoughts about life, so it's okay to let her have it sometimes."

David also understands what Nina needs, but he can't give it to her all the time, and he still needs to give it to her sometimes. Otherwise, she would suffer inside.

Aunt Lin smiled gently, "I know, but that girl doesn't." She said,

"It's okay; she doesn't need to know, I understand, and that's enough, and as their brother, I know what to do and how to protect them from the evilness of this world," David said, even though a bad feeling was in his heart.
