Eyes met for a while, Katherine asked first, “What are you sitting here for?”
Marshall replied, “I’m here to pack up my stuff.”
Right, Katherine almost forgot this. Now that their divorce news was out, they had no reason to live together anymore.
Katherine so nodded, “Okay.”
She then went to the kitchen to fix the breakfast.
After sitting on the sofa for a while longer, Marshall got upstairs.
He didn’t harbor a lot of items here, so it didn’t take long for him to collect.
Carrying the suitcase in hands, Marshall got downstairs and looked at Katherine who was busying around in the kitchen.
Katherine didn’t know why, but she suddenly got uneasy.
Well, this was supposed to a merry thing which they can had a fun time over and he could just naturally move out, so that they didn’t have to go through this sort of awkward situation, but he just got to be serious, so Katherine got a bit downcast, too.
Katherine turned around and stood by the kitchen door, “Did you have breakfast yet?”
“No.”
Katherine then let out of a breath, “Well, grab a bite here then. It’s almost done.”
Marshall put down the suitcase by the door. “Sure.”
What a brisk answer.
Katherine then returned back to the kitchen and Marshall went to the dining room.
‘What the hell was happening now? They didn’t even experience such a hustle when they divorced.’
When the breakfast was ready, Kathrine served it in the dining room.
Marshall’s face was a bit darkened, so Katherine remained silent all the way.
She usually fixed herself Chinese-style breakfast, porridge and fried dumplings with salted vegetables.
Marshall would only have bread and milk before. Katherine was actually considering making them for him before, but then she thought why should she be making herself hard and spoiling on him?
She only wanted to make the Chinese-style ones. He could either have it or leave it.
To Katherine’s surprise, Marshall had a bit more than she had imagined before.
Kathrine didn’t know if it was because he was hungry or she really made a yummy meal.
After having the meal silently, Marshall wanted to wash the dishes, but Katherine hurriedly stood up and stopped, “No, no. I can do it myself. Don’t bother.”
A single sentence just estranged their relationship.
Marshall paused for a while and replied okay. Then he said, “I’m going to go then.”
Katherine smiled, “Be careful on the road.”
Marshall then fetched his suitcase by the door and left.
Katherine just stood by the dining room door and looked at him. After Marshall was finally gone, she let out a long breath of relief.
Then she did the dishes and hurried to Marshall’s room to scan around.
Well, it was all empty now. All his stuff was gone.
After examining around satisfactorily, Katherine went back to her bedroom and started looking through all the news online.
The news was quite objective, but some of the comments were indeed mean.
Even that it was exposed that they had divorced, Clara was also trolled as the homewrecker that led to the breakup of Marshall and Katherine.
When Katherine saw the word “homewrecker”, she actually was wondering who was the real one, she or Clara?
Well, Clara wasn’t exactly the legit one.
It was herself who just barged in and snatched Marshall.
