CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1686

The senior judge on the panel smiled warmly and said, “Attorney Lewis, your defense was exceptional. Your understanding and application of legal principles left a lasting impression. Your arguments were clear, your logic airtight, and you provided a fresh perspective on this case.”

Other judges nodded in agreement, offering Jamie high praise for her performance.

As the competition concluded, Jamie stepped off the stage to the sound of applause from the audience. Her confidence had carried her through, but the moment was disrupted by an unexpected outburst.

Attorney Gray, the female lawyer she had just defeated, clenched her fists and blurted, “This is unfair!”

Her microphone was still live, and her voice echoed throughout the venue, silencing the room.

“This case was obviously easier for you to argue,” Attorney Gray continued. “You have connections—this is favoritism! Why hasn’t the competition been stopped despite all the online rumors?”

The remark caused a ripple of murmurs among the crowd. Jamie paused mid-step, turned back to face her, and maintained a calm yet resolute demeanor.

“Attorney Gray,” Jamie began, her voice steady and commanding, “it seems you may not fully understand the situation. I haven’t relied on any favoritism. Every step of my participation was rigorously reviewed and approved by the committee. As for the online speculation, I trust that skill and merit will ultimately define me, not baseless accusations.”

Attorney Gray’s expression faltered, but she pressed on. “Yet, you’ve clearly benefited from your connection to Mr. Lucas. Isn’t that still favoritism?”

Jamie allowed herself a small smile. “Mr. Lucas is indeed one of the sponsors, and as such, he was allotted an additional entry slot, as outlined in the competition rules. This was a decision made by the committee, not me. If that’s considered favoritism, then anyone receiving sponsorship support should face the same criticism.”

The audience exchanged glances, their whispered conversations revealing a mix of agreement and contemplation.

“Moreover,” Jamie continued, her gaze unwavering, “my performance has been judged by the panel and witnessed by the audience. If my efforts weren’t convincing, I wouldn’t have advanced. I stand by my work, not by hearsay.”
