“Why are you f**g me with your eyes?” Hailey smiled, innocently licking the icing off her lips.
“I feel like eating you up just like how you are doing to that cake.”
Hailey blushed, taking another forkful piece of cake. She woke up craving cakes and Cole ordered one from the best bakery.
“You are sure you don’t want some?”
Cole closed the gap with Hailey who stood by the counter. “No.” He stole a kiss from her as she chewed.
“I feel like a baby.”
Cole chuckled. “Why?”
“Cos of my sudden craving for sweet things.”
“Good to know our baby girl has a sweet tooth already.”
Hailes blushed, stuffing more cakes in her mouth. “I hope it remains this way.” She said with a mouthful and
continued chewing.
“This way?” Cole took a glance at her, pouring some orange juice into the glass cup.
“Yes. I had weird cravings when I was pregnant with the boys. I would crave things that I do not eat on a normal day. Like pickles and peanut butter, as well as other weird combinations.”
Cole smiled sadly, placing the glass of juice beside her,
Hailey recognized that look and instantly dropped her fork by the plate. She turned to her side and faced the man she loved the most. “I know what you are thinking.”
“What?” Cole feigned innocence.
“Cos I’m talking about the past, you feel so sad that you were not a part of it.”
Cole shook his head.
Hailey tiptoed and kissed his lips. “You don’t have to feel bad. I tell you these things not to freak you out but to make you aware of what happened.”
“I know. But it seems I’m still not able to forgive myself for those times. I feel a very deep pain in my heart any time I think of the wonderful times I’ve missed with my family.”

Cole didn’t look convinced.
“Okay, I won’t tell you about the past anymore.”

“No, that’s not it. I want to hear all about it. I don’t want to be kept in the dark but on the other hand, I feel a bit sad. I know I sound crazy but it’s mixed feelings. Glad to know about it but sad to know I wasn’t there to experience it.”
“But you are here now.” She placed a quick kiss on his lips. “And we would experience so much more together.”
She kissed him again.
Cole had no idea when a proud smile escaped his lips. “I’m trying so hard not to get tempted, taking you by the
counter.”
Hailey blushed, going back to her cake. “You know I wouldn’t refuse your offer but we are going to be late if I don’t hurry up.”
She popped the last piece of cake in her mouth and took a few sips of her orange juice. Once done, she went over to clean the dishes and then wiped her hands with a towel.
“Ready?” Cole asked, placing his hand on the small of her back.
“Yeah! I’m glad I had that. If not, I was going to be cranky.”
Cole chuckled. “Remind me that I’ve got four babies to look after.”
Hailey giggled, giving Cole a side hug.” that’s what happens when you choose to be sexually active. I’m your big baby though so I should be pampered the most.”
Cole couldn’t stop smiling. He placed a deep kiss on Hailey’s forehead. “I love you.”
“I love you too, honey.”
The two lovebirds made their way to the living room and found Enzo on the couch with his attention on the TV. The little boy was all dressed up. Just like his parents.
“Where’s your brother, buddy?”
Enzo tore his eyes from the TV and took a glance at his parents. “He went to get the gift!”
“What gift?” Hailey asked.
“Ollie and I made a card for Grandpa.”

Cole and Hailey smiled, taking a glance at each other. “You knew about it?” Hailey asked.
Cole shook his head. “I had no idea. But it warms my heart to know they’ve got beautiful thoughts.”
Hailes chuckled. “Same here. They probably want to win their Grandpa’s heart at first instance.”
Ollie soon appeared in the living room, holding a card.
“We were waiting for you, honey.” Hailey smiled at Ollie who was all dressed up too.
“I went to get Grandpa’s gift.” He gestured to the card in his hand, taking a glance at it.
Then he approached Cole, suddenly looking at him with worried eyes. “Is Grandpa going to like me?”
Cole smiled, crouching to Ollie’s height. “What’s there not to like about you?”
The little boy shrugged his shoulders. “I hope he likes the card me and Enzo made for him.” He mumbled.

Cole brought his hands to his son’s face and caressed his cheek. “Stop being worried. Your Grandpa is amazing and he cannot wait to see you and your brother. You’re going to have fun.”
Ollie slowly nodded.
“Good!” Cole kissed his cheek.
“Mommy, what about you? Are you nervous?” Enzo ran towards Hailey, holding her hand.
“No. Your Grandpa treats me like a Queen. I’m excited to see him.”
“Cool. I’m going to tell him to come to our house someday so he can play with me.”
“Sure! We would love to have him.” Hailey assured.
They exited the house into the car. The boys got busy with their tabs in the back seat while Cole and Hailey had conversations throughout the ride.
After what felt like forever, Cole pulled up in his father’s mansion, Hailey helped herself down while Cole helped the children down from the car and they all made their way towards the door.
Before Cole could press on the doorbell, the door opened from inside and they all came face to face with Jessica and beside her was a five-year-old girl, Ami, who was grinning from ear to ear.
