Chasing My Ex-wife Back (Hailey and Cole) novel Chapter 116

Chapter 116
“The 5th one fits the idea of a family home I’ve always had in my head, but at the same time I can’t get the 3rd one away from my mind.”
“The 3rd is perfect but I’m thinking it might be too big for a family of 5. Hailey voiced out her concern.
“Two living rooms, a big kitchen area, laundry room, dining area, 7 ensuite rooms, two bathrooms, a theater room, outdoor pool and a big backyard space. I think it’s standard. Ollie and Enzo share the same room but eventually, they might want a different room. Plus, the kids would need a playroom and the garden is perfect just for days we decide to have outdoor parties.”
“I know it is standard but I just felt it’s too much. I’ve always wanted something cozy and beautiful. Something reasonably spacious.”
“Okay, how about we go to view the 3rd and 5th ones? Then you

make your decision.”
“So about the wedding?” Cole adjusted himself in a sitting position so he could see her face well.
“What about it?” She blushed.
“When are you going to marry me?”
Hailey giggled. “You sound h**y.”
“You got me! I can’t wait for you to be my wife so I can execute all of the nasty stuff I have in my head with you.”
“Who says you can’t do that now?” She pouted.
“I know I can, but I don’t want to spill all of the surprises.
“Okay. About that. You spoil me too much so I think we need to come up with an agreement where you can only give me something once every two months.”
Cole shook his head. “That’s not going to happen.”
“The goal is to put a smile on your face every single day and I will make sure I do everything in my power to live up to my word.”
“Your wedding gift is ready. I’m just waiting patiently for the day to come.”
Halley’s eyes started to get teary. “Are you serious?”

“You don’t have to feel that way. You don’t owe me anything, babe. I’m the one who had to make it up to you.” He
caressed her cheek with the back of his fingers. “So, when are you going to marry me?”
“I really want us to have the wedding before I start showing.”
“Which is?”
“In two to three months.” She answered.
“So does next month work for you?”
Hailey nodded shyly. “Second Saturday of next month.”
“Where have you always wanted to have your dream wedding?”
“I don’t think it matters, babe. As long as our loved ones are in attendance.”
“Plus I know you want to give me the best but I cannot ignore the fact that your company is just getting back on its
feet.”
Cole shook his head. “It’s true my company was under financial constraints for a while but that doesn’t mean that! cannot afford to take care of my family. I’ve got savings, investments, and even trust funds for our babies. You have nothing to stress about. I’ve got you all.”
“Greece or Italy?”
“Sorry?” She stared at him with confusion.
“I know they are your favorite destinations. Just wanna know where you would want your wedding between the two so we can start making preparations.”
“Italy is fine.” Hailey smiled.
“Anything my wife wants, she gets.” Cole smashed his lips against hers.
THE NEXT DAY
Nothing prepared Hailey for the crowd at the courthouse along with unending questions from Paparazzi that seemed to be everywhere.

Cole sat by Hailey and held her hands all through the proceedings. They all watched as the police officers ushered Connie and Vanessa who had their hands cuffed and throwing deadly glares at each other, out of the courtroom.
Cole was able to protect Hailey outside, into her car. Once she was well secured in the front passenger seat, Cole went to the other side and helped himself into the driver’s seat.
He was buckling his seatbelt when he took a glance at Hailey’s window’s side and saw Eric staring with a sad face and knocking on the window along with the paparazzi.
“You want to talk to him? He was staring at you all through the court proceeding.”
Hailey shook her head. “Please take me out of here!”
Cole obeyed and drove off.
After what felt like forever, they got back home and Hailey made her way straight to the kitchen. She opened the fridge and helped herself with a glass of orange juice.
Cole cornered her by the counter.
“You’ve been quiet.’
Hailey took some more sip of her juice and placed the cup on the counter beside her.
“A lot of thoughts kept going through my mind.”
“Like?” Cole asked, possessively wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I’m trying so hard not to feel traumatized by all that happened at the courthouse. I still do not understand how someone can be so evil that they are charged with all those offenses. I know all that is in the past now and we saw justice being served” Hailes brought his hand to Cole’s cheek and caressed it. She smiled. “We can live our lives without any worries.”
Cole nodded. “I’m so sorry about the trauma, I think I can do something to take your mind off it.” Cole started smooching Hailey’s side profile.
She giggled, her nipples standing erect against her bra. “Then you better hurry up because Debbie will be here soon. We’ve got an appointment at the bridal shop.”
“My pleasure!” Cole smiled, lifting her up in a bridal style.
