Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1348

Justin reached Theodore and Rosalie's place at around 5.20 pm.

He didn't come early, because Rosalie told him that she could only reach home at 5.30 pm earliest. He wouldn't be able to see her by coming early, anyway.

Theodore was at home and came out to welcome him.

"You're here."

Both men weren't antagonistic against each other, but there was a tinge of awkwardness in the air.

"You've recovered well," Theodore said politely, but it was what he genuinely thought.

Justin was previously shot in the head and had half his head shaved. Some hair had grown out since then.

"I have recovered pretty well. Oh yes, I haven't thanked you for what happened previously," Justin said.

"What for?" Theodore asked.

"After I got shot, everyone thought I was dead, but you noticed my finger moving. Had you not said anything, I might really have died."

Theodore didn't immediately accept Justin's expression of gratitude. In fact, he felt rather guilty.

His first reaction at that time was not to save Justin. He thought it would be good if Justin died there and then, so that no one would fight with him for Rosalie.

However, the pain and sorrow on her face pricked his conscience. He couldn't convince himself to turn a blind eye to it.

So, he told Rosalie what he saw.

When Justin realized Theodore had spaced out, he asked, "What's the matter? A penny for your thoughts?"

"I'm laughing at you for being too honest."

"Me, honest?" Theodore balked. "This is the first time someone described me this way."

"At least you're honest in this regard," Justin said. "But you eventually saved me, so no matter what you thought at first, it doesn't matter anymore, right?"

"Aren't you even the least bit mad at me?" Theodore was rather shocked. How could Justin be so indifferent? It concerned his life and death.

"Everyone has a wicked side to them. People often face internal struggles at critical moments in their lives. It is a struggle between good and evil. Depending on the choices they make, the outcomes differ. You might have had evil thoughts, but you clearly defeated them. You should be proud of yourself," Justin said.

To him, there was nothing to criticize about Theodore's actions.

There were too many people in this world who only knew how to criticize others instead of praising others. They end up being obsessive about it and making things worse.
