Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 730

Rosalie lowered her head, and caressed her belly. "What if… What if he doesn't call me?"

A glimmer of determination flashed in Sebastian's eyes as he said sadly in her ear, "If he doesn't call you, it means he really doesn't want the child."

Rosalie's tears fell immediately.

Feeling her body tremble, Sebastian quickly pulled her into an embrace. "Don't cry. I'm sorry. I'm clumsy with words. I really believe he will call you. How could he not? I'll wait with you. No matter what happens, I'll be by your side."

Sebastian gently stroked the back of her head as he smiled slyly.

He suspected that Theodore hadn't heard what Rosalie said last night. Otherwise, given Theodore's obsession with Rosalie, if he knew she was pregnant with his child, how could he have had no reaction at all?

If his guess was correct, then Rosalie wouldn’t receive a call today. He needed to give her hope and make her believe Theodore would call. Despair was what would make Rosalie completely give up on Theodore.

No, that wouldn't do. If Theodore had heard her last night, and he came back to his senses today and called Rosalie… What if they reconciled?

The child was their bond. With the child, they might continue to be entangled.

Sebastian gently released Rosalie. "Rose, do you want to sleep a bit more?"

Rosalie shook her head. "No. What if I miss the call?"

Sebastian replied, "Look at you. You're so tired. Why don't you freshen up a bit? It will help you feel more awake. I'll stay here and watch the phone. If he calls, I'll tell you immediately. Or you can set your ringer to the highest volume so you can hear it."

Rosalie nodded. "Alright."

She turned the phone's ringer up to the maximum and placed it on the bedside table. "I'll go freshen up now and come out quickly."

"I'll help you." Sebastian helped her out of bed.

"It's okay. I can go by myself."

With that, Rosalie carefully walked into the bathroom.
