Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 747

After Yvonne left, Sebastian still didn’t have much of an appetite.

He tidied up the place, and returned to Rosalie’s ward. On the way back, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

Sebastian pulled it out, and glanced at the screen. It was an unfamiliar number.

He answered the call. “Hello.”

“Hello, Mr. Carter.”

Sebastian found the voice very familiar-sounding.

“It’s you!” The voice was identical to that of the man who abducted Rosalie.

“I’m so touched, you still remember my voice.”

“You criminal, how dare you call me!”

“But of course! The police haven't caught me until now, they’re so inefficient. I’ve been waiting, but they just can’t find me. I’m so frustrated, I almost turned myself in.”

His arrogant words made Sebastian bite out furiously, “Why are you calling me? I’m warning you, don’t you dare hurt Rose! I won’t let you lay a finger on her again!”

“Me, hurt her? Just listen to yourself,” the man said with a chuckle. “I saved her before. If I hadn’t rescued her from those kidnappers, she would have been tortured and then killed. I’m her benefactor, in fact. I also let her go eventually. Do you really think you were the one who saved her?”

Sebastian clenched his fists in anger. “What do you want?”

“Mr. Carter, I wonder how happy you were when that arrow pierced through Theodore Spencer’s heart?”

Sebastian’s heart sank at the mention of the incident. “What’s that got to do with you? You were the culprit, you were the one who hurt him!”

“You’re right, I was the culprit behind it. But when he wanted to call for help, who was the one who took his phone away? That’s open to question, isn’t it?”

Sebastian’s face turned dark with displeasure. He clenched his fists, and looked around him.

As he looked at the people around him, they started to look distorted; he even felt them looking at him with looks of judgment.

Sebastian went to a quiet corner with his phone still on his ear. After checking that no one could hear him, he said in a low voice, “I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

“Is that so? Then why are you panicking? You even found a hiding spot. Are you afraid that someone will hear you?”

Sebastian’s skull went numb. He walked out of the corner, and looked around. “Are you spying on me?”

“Do I even need to do that?” the man chuckled. “I can guess it, because you have a guilty conscience. Seems like you at least have a modicum of shame, knowing what you did.”

Sebastian took a deep breath, and said through gritted teeth, “What did I do? I don’t understand what you’re saying.”

He would never agree to it. What if this man was recording the conversation?

“You have great mental strength. It’s fine even if you don’t admit it. I have proof. Look at your phone.”
