"Ms. Payne, don't panic. Time is on your side. As long as you keep to the doctors' medical advice, artificial hearts might become a reality as medical science progresses. Don't be so pessimistic."
Theodore's comforting words made Aurora feel slightly better.
"Mr. Spencer, I'm so sorry for bothering you and making you come over in the middle of the night."
"It's fine."
It was raining heavily outside. Theodore glanced at the raindrops clinging onto the window, and sighed.
"Ms. Payne, do you believe in telepathy?"
"Telepathy?" Aurora repeated doubtfully. "Why the sudden mention of it? Do you feel like you have telepathy with someone?"
Theodore pulled out his wallet from his pocket, and retrieved a photo of Rosalie.
"For some reason, thoughts of my wife suddenly came to mind and I feel very sad. I even feel some stomach discomfort."
Aurora leaned against the headboard, looking at Theodore's back doubtfully. "Are you missing her so much that it's messing with your mind?"
Theodore sighed. "Perhaps."
He slipped the photo back into his wallet. Aurora's eyes dimmed ever so slightly.
Theodore turned around, and glanced at Aurora. "Get some rest."
"What about you?"
"I'll leave after you fall asleep. Get some rest now." Theodore returned to the couch, and sat down.
He clutched his chest, which hurt so much he felt as though someone was digging his heart out.
He suddenly stood up from the couch, and rushed out of the ward.
Aurora didn't even have time to react before Theodore disappeared.
Didn't he say that he would wait till she fell asleep? Why did he just leave like that?

Bam, bam!
Sydney was deep in slumber when she was rudely awoken by someone pounding on her door.
She jumped out of bed in fright.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
