Rosalie wanted to give the baby a name as soon as possible.
She had promised Sebastian to let him name the baby, and she wouldn't go back on her word. She couldn't give Sebastian anything else, but he stayed so faithfully by her side, even through her labor.
Rosalie felt immensely guilty. Letting Sebastian name her child was the only thing she could do for him.
"I thought of a name long ago. What about Steve?"
"Steve." Rosalie subconsciously turned to look out the window as she mumbled the baby's name.
It was early in the morning and bright sunlight shone down, peeking through the towering trees that were dancing in the morning breeze.
What a beautiful morning. It felt like a new beginning, and Rosalie almost forgot all of her troubles.
Rosalie turned around to look at the baby in her arms. She gently caressed his little cheeks as tears blurred her vision once more.
"What's the matter, Rose?" Sebastian asked anxiously. "Do you not like the name? I can think of a few more."
Sebastian was getting anxious. Each time he saw Rosalie tear up, his heart would break. He didn't want her crying because of him.
Rosalie immediately assured him. "No, Seb. The name is great."
She then said to the baby in her arms, "My baby, your name is Steve from now on."
Rosalie looked very haggard, but seeing her baby in her arms made her eyes brim with joy and love of a new mother.
Upon hearing Rosalie call the baby by the name he gave him, joy filled Sebastian's heart and he smiled warmly.
A thought suddenly came to his mind as he asked, "Rose, whose last name will the baby take?"
He had wanted to suggest that the baby not take his family name, but was worried Rosalie might get upset. To be on the safe side, he decided to ask Rosalie.
No matter what the baby's last name ended up to be, the only thing he wouldn't be able to accept is for the baby to take the Spencer family name.
At Sebastian's question, Rosalie's gaze landed on the baby once more.
Theodore and her were divorced. It didn't seem appropriate for the baby to take the Spencer family name.
However, the baby couldn't possibly take Sebastian's family name. He wasn't Sebastian's child to begin with.
"The baby will take my last name. He'll be Steve Young," she finally said.
Sebastian inwardly heaved a sigh of relief.
Comments
The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
