Although Yvonne felt indignant for her mother and wanted to say it out, she decided to keep it to herself and not tell Chandra about it, since her mother herself begged her.

His entire mind was occupied by the voice over the phone.

"We should enjoy some couple time. Which country do you want to travel to?

"Syd, don't be so impatient. Calm down. I just want to spend couple time with you outside, hang out at a place where no one knows us for a few days. If you don't want that, I'll handpick the location.

"Syd, be good. Don't curse.

"That settles it, then. I'll choose the location first. Don't worry, I won't force you to go right now. We'll go for the holiday after a period of time. I'm rather busy as of late. I'm just calling to remind you."

"Darling, why are you cursing again? Don't curse me. You're cursing me so much, it's making me sad."

In contrast to what he said, he was feeling gleeful through and through.

"Step aside!"

An angry voice sounded from outside the door.

"I'm sorry, but you really can't enter. Chairman Carter is busy right now."

"Do you know who I am? If you refuse to let me through, I can bring your chairman down any moment!"

Geoffrey furrowed his brows, and said over the phone, "Darling, goodbye for now. I have something to attend to."
