"Are you scared?" Vincent said as his eyes narrowed. "In that case, you can eliminate this option, because you're scared to die."
He put down his gun.
"You're now left with two options. One is to give me one billion dollars and another is to give me ten thousand dollars and one week of your time. Ms. Young, you'll have to choose between these two options. Leaving this place isn't an option you can take."
Rosalie didn't expect to see this side of his, but then again, she didn't know him well enough and naturally didn't expect him to be someone like this.
When he saved her, blocking her from the bullet at the risk of his life, she thought he just looked scary. She didn't expect it to go beyond just appearances.
"Can I find someone to take care of you? I can find the best nanny or a professional doctor."
"I don't want any of them. I want you." Vincent's face looked pale, but his aura remained imposing.
Rosalie asked anxiously, "Why must you insist on me taking care of you?"
"I'm your savior. Shouldn't you take care of me?"
Rosalie had no words to refute Vincent. He was indeed her savior and she had been willing to take care of him till he was fully recovered. But now that he was holding her at gunpoint, things had taken a different turn.
"You mean I have to stay here the entire week, taking care of you, cooking, washing your clothes, cleaning the place for you? Is that it? Anything else?"
Vincent took another step closer to her.
Rosalie instinctively took a few steps back until she was backed up against the cold, hard wall. Her eyes widened in fear as she stared at him.
"You'd better…not touch me, or…"
"What do you think I would do to you?" Vincent grabbed her face roughly. "Do you think I want you?"
Vincent's cheek felt red hot from the slap. He caressed his cheek and sneered, "That was quite forceful. I wonder if you'll have that kind of strength on the bed."
Vincent wrapped an arm around her waist and bent his head forward in a bid to kiss her.
Rosalie dodged his kiss out of fright. "Don't touch me. I'll give you ten billion dollars. I'll find a way to raise that amount. Let me go, please."
"Didn't you say that you don't have ten billion dollars? Why are you able to raise that amount now?"
"I…I'll find a way. I'll ask my husband for help. Let me go please, I'm begging you."
"Rosalie Young, don't think I can't tell that you're trying to pull a fast one on me. If I let you go, I would have done everything in vain. I don't believe you'd raise ten billion dollars for me."
"What exactly do you want?" Rosalie raised her voice, agitated. "You saved me and then you're now treating me like this. Are you schizophrenic or are you just pretending to be evil? Does your Youngie know the kind of person you are? You kept apologizing to her in your dreams. Was it because of your mood swings? If so, you've let her down!"

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
