Although Theodore had also shot at Vincent, Rosalie hadn't seen that kind of viciousness in his eyes. Moreover, when Sebastian made his move, Theodore had stopped him.
If Theodore truly wanted Vincent dead, he could have easily let Sebastian handle it without interference. Considering all of this, Rosalie chose Theodore.
Seeing Rosalie remain silent, Theodore pressed on, "Rose, you haven't answered my question. If you don't trust me, why did you choose me?"
"Please stop asking, alright? I just picked someone at random. I didn't think too much about it."
She couldn't speak badly of Sebastian in front of Theodore. Besides, this was just her feelings, not necessarily the truth.
Theodore took a deep breath. "Fine, I won't ask. But Rose, if he really dies, what are you going to do?"
"Stop saying that. He won't die. He absolutely won't die!"
Theodore said nothing. Vincent was severely wounded, and Theodore didn't hold out much hope. The man was likely to die, but judging from Rosalie's reaction, if he did, she would be devastated.
Theodore couldn't even deal with Sebastian, and now Vincent was added to the mix.
Sebastian was a cunning and treacherous person, while Vincent was ruthless and reckless.
Theodore felt an overwhelming heaviness in his heart. When would this tangled mess come to an end?
He wondered how Aurora was doing.
When he left, Aurora must have been in a lot of pain. He had abandoned her, and she would surely be heartbroken—but he had no choice.
He felt pity and sorrow for Aurora, but for Rosalie, it was deep love.
They finally arrived at the hospital, where the medical team was already waiting at the entrance.
Vincent was immediately taken out of the car, placed on a stretcher, and rushed into the operating room at the fastest speed.
The light above the operating room flickered on. Rosalie, covered in blood, stood outside and waited in despair.
"Don't worry. The doctors are doing everything they can."
"He's lost so much blood. What are we going to do? If it wasn't for him saving me, I'd be dead. He took a bullet for me. His wounds weren't even healed, and you all kept shooting at him. How could you do that?" Rosalie cried bitterly. "What are we going to do?"
Her body wavered, and she nearly collapsed to the ground.
Theodore quickly caught her.
"Rose." He held her tightly, pressing her head against his chest. "He won't die. I'm sure of it. I'm sorry. It's all my fault."
He couldn't imagine what Rosalie had gone through; what kind of danger she had faced that caused that man to save her.
"Rose."
Theodore wiped the tears from her face, only to realize that his own hands were covered in blood.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
