Some minutes later, Damon pulled away as he inspected my body with concern etched on his face.

“Are you okay, my love? Were you hurt anywhere?” He questioned before turning to stare at my face and I shook my head.

“No, they didn't hurt me. I'm okay” I replied and he heaved a sigh of relief before grabbing onto my face and slamming his lips on mine. He pulled away seconds later and he buried his nose on my neck, inhaling my scent.

“Thank goddess, I was worried sick. I almost lost my mind” He murmured into my skin, sending shivers down my spine.

“What do you mean almost?” Luca uttered from behind as he walked towards us.

“Who drop you off? Your uncle?” Damon questioned, totally ignoring Luca’s words and I nodded.

“Yes but if you're planning on searching for you, you shouldn't waste your time. He's long gone” I told him and he frowned.

“Now that you're back to me, I can finally focus on finishing off those bastards. Let's get you home, you need to rest” He murmured as he caressedy cheek and since I was so tired, I didn't say anything and just nodded.

Damon led me to his car and as we drove off, I couldn't help but dread what was to come as I stared at the dead human bodies on the street.

I knew this was just the beginning and because of this, the Hunters were going to strike with full force.

I gasped as Damon suddenly pulled me onto his lap and growled slightly as he inhaled my scent.

“Fuck, I can almost not believe you're here right now, my love. I missed you so much. Don't ever leave me again, I won't survive it. I can't breathe without you” He said to me and the sincerity and sadness in his eyes made me heart ache.

I adjusted myself and grabbed onto his face before placing a soft kiss on his lips.

“I’m never leaving your side again” I reassured him before wrapping my arms around his shoulder and letting him rest his head on my chest.

We stayed in that position till we got back to the pack and to say j was happy to be back was an understatement. There really was no place like home.

Damon didn't let anyone talk to me when we got back and literally carried me all the way up to our room.

“Everyone was waiting to speak with Mr, Damon. Let me down!” I yelled as I glared at him.

“I don't care. I have been away from you for weeks so now, I have to have my fill ov you beforr anyone else csn grt thr chsnce to breath in the same air as you” He uttered as he placed me down on my feet.
