I have been trying my best not to talk about Dimitri since the day I got Clara back because I knew she was going to advocate for him and I really didn't feel like talking about him because it always dampened my mood.

“I’ll always listen to you Clara but there's nothing you can say that'll make me change my mind about Dimitri. If you want him released then fine but I don't want to see him” I told her and she frowned.

“Then he should have fucking know that I don't joke with you and should have never gotten you involved in the first place. My goddess, he even knew you were pregnant but still he went along with his stupid plan. We lost a child once, Clara. What if we lost this one due to his stupidity? What then?” I explained and couldn't help the way my voice shook due to the various emotions I was feeling.

She couldn't even begin to phantom the feelings I had to pass through when she was taken from me and all because of what?

Clara's face immediately softened and she sighed as she grabbed onto my face.

“I understand your feelings and I'll never try to invalidate them. You have a reason to be angry but you have to take it into account that he was just trying to help you” She explained and I scoffed.

There were other things he could do but yet he chose to put you in danger” I countered and before she could say anything else, I straightened up then slowly lifted her from the chair, sat down and placed her on my lap before wrapping my arms around her waist.

I was getting angry due to this topic and only her scent and the feel of her body could calm me down.

“If you're going to be angry at Dimitri then you might as well be angry at me. He told me about his plan and I decided on my own free will to go with him because I wanted to see my uncle so practically, I'm at fault as well” She reasoned and I frowned.

This was all Dimitri's aim, he was doing it for you. To help lift your burden” She explained and I frowned but didn't say anything.

I was well aware of the supernatural killings that had been going on and I knew Dimitri was just trying to help but it still doesn't change the fact that his tactic was risky.

“I can handle them, I don't need anyone's help” I muttered and I heard scoff as she tried pulling away from my hold but I just held her tighter.
