~CLARA~

“I’m not going!” Hunter yelled before running towards the bed and jumping on it.

I let out a sigh before turning to Damon.

“You said he wasn't going to be a problem” I whispered so he was the only one that could hear me.

“I’ve got this” He replied before slowly walking towards the bed. We were currently in mine and Damon's room and had just broken the news to Hunter but he hadn't taken it as easily as we had hoped.

“Hunter, stop being a baby” Haven yelled from beside me, her little lips bent down in a frown.

“You said I could sleep next to you tonight mama. I'm not going!” He yelled again and suddenly began wailing.

“I happen to know that grandpa and grandma have a gift waiting for Haven and you and it's big. If you don't go along with Haven, she'll get her gift and yours will be given out because they won't have any use for it. Do you want to go get the gift or not?” He questioned and I stared at Hunter who still had a stubborn pout on his lips.

“Fine then, suit yourself. I'll take only Haven and I also know that grandma baked those cookies you like so much” Damon egged on as he stood up from the bed and walked towards us.

“Yay cookies! Will grandpa take me out for ice cream too?” Haven questioned with her arms reaching out for Damon who immediately picked her up.

“Of course baby. Your grandparents will get you anything you want so take advantage of it, okay?” Damon murmured as he caressed Haven's hair and I heard Hunter groan.

“But mama…” He cried out and I sighed as I walked over to him. I pulled him into my arms as soon as I sat on the bed.

“I promise that when you get back, you'll sleep next to me and we'll get to cuddle every night, okay? Don't cry anymore” I murmured as I wiped away his tears.

“Will you come pick me up tomorrow?” He questioned softly and I nodded.

“I’ll personally come pick you up. I love you” I replied, placing a kiss on his forehead.

“Okay, I'll go” He muttered and I smiled before turning to Damon with a smile. I immediately got Hunter and Haven ready with the help of Damon and packed a little bag for them.

“Are you sure your parents won't mind?” I questioned as I buckled up the kids in their car seats.

Ever since the fight with Sebastian, Damon's father wolf had become too weak and had gone into seclusion thus his strength had slowly diminished. I felt like Damon's mother already had a lot on her hands and adding two hyper toddlers wasn't the best choice.

“They asked for them, I didn't request it so don't fret and better be ready for me when I get back tonight” He murmured seductively before catching my lips in a kiss.

I smiled at him then moved over to place a kiss on Haven's and Hunter's forehead then watched as Damon drove away and only when they were far away did I turn around and walk back into the house.

“When are you going to start your Queen Luna duties?” I let out a shriek before turning around to find Dimitri leaning against the door.

“Dimitri, you're back!” I exclaimed before running up to hug him. Four years ago, after Damon woke up, Dimitri decided that he wanted to keep on exploring instead of staying in the pack and although he kept in touch with everyone and always requested for pictures of Hunter and Haven, we haven't seen him in person for years till now.

“I am and you should be happy, you're the first person I came to see” He replied and I raised an eyebrow before chuckling.

“I would have been if I didn't know you better. You want something, don't you?” I questioned and he stared at me for a while before a vulnerable look appeared in his eyes.

“I met a woman…”

“No. Everything is a mess and she won't stop crying and…”

“Shh, that's okay. I'll take care of her, go wash up and I'll calm her down” I told her and she sighed then wiped her tears away before standing up and walking away.

She came some minutes later and I had already calmedia down and have placed her in bed.

“You want to tell me what's wrong? Do you want me to take Mia off your hands for some time?” I questioned as I made her sit next to me on the couch.

“As much as I would want that, you already have a lot of your hands and I don't want to burden you. I really love being with Mia but it's hard when Luca isn't really here. Ever since he became Alpha, he hasn't had that much time for me or Mia and anytime I try to talk to him, he brushes it off and in his words, I'm just in my feelings. He didn't get me and doesn't want to get me. We are supposed to be in this together” She murmured and I pulled her close as she cried on my shoulder.

I was going to murder Luca.

I had noticed that Luca had change ever since what happened four years ago. He was more into work than before and prioritize that even over Delilah and their child with was fucking wrong and I wasn't going to stand for it.

“I’ll speak to Luca, okay? Don't cry and if you ever feel lonely, come to me. I understand what you're going through and you're right, Luca should be by your side and he will, I'll make sure of that so don't cry, okay?” I murmured before wrapping my arms around her.

“Thank you. I should better get some rest, I haven't slept since last night” She murmured and I nodded before helping her back to her room. I stayed for a while as I watched over Mia, making sure she was okay and wouldn't be waking up soon before leaving and heading towards Damon and Luca’s office.

Luca better be ready for the slap I was about to give him…
