MALAYINA
May 11th 2018
I sit outside of the club waiting for Amar to show up. In my hands, I have my contract and auction account details as he had requested. For the life of me, I tried to go over the contract myself last night as I was trying to see what Amar will discover when he goes over it with a fine comb.
I only felt incompetent afterwards and I had to laugh at myself wondering what the fuck I was planning on finding.
But... I will have you know that I have gained an inkling of respect for the Greek God himself. Who suspiciously is trying to get me out of this mess that I landed myself in. I was too quick to jump at the opportunity when it arose. I was too busy trying to think of ways to pay him back not realising I was putting myself in a dangerous predicament.
I see his SUV rolling up and I stand waiting for him to exit.
"Mikros." He says deeply as he scowls at me.
"It is too cold for you to be outdoors with nothing warm on." He takes me by the arm and ushers me inside.
I wanted to tell him the cold doesn't bother me anymore. I've partially become immune to its bitterness. The perks of living on the streets then moving into an apartment that has no heating.
"I've brought the documents as you asked." I slide them across the table towards him in the bar after I sat down.
He removes his leather gloves and trench coat giving them to 'The Hulk'.
"Ask the blondie from yesterday to go across the road to the flamingo cafe and get two flat whites." He says sitting down.
I tilt my head to the side and narrow my eyes looking at him.
Flat white coffee from the flamingo cafe is my all-time favourite. I'm curious to learn if he knows that about me.
He opens the folder and quickly scans the pages before he closes them and pushes them to the side.
"I will go over it today and let you know what I find out." He says looking at me.
I smile and nod my head.
"Thank you." I blush, looking away.
I dont know what's come over me. I can't bring myself to look him in the eye and thank him suitably. Instead, I'm sitting across from him and I can't stop my leg from bouncing under the table. Every time he opens his mouth and speaks his voice washes over me and makes me feel giddy.
Yesterday I wanted to murder the bastard and today I can't even look at him without my cheeks turning pink.
Should've left the contract alone last night. The more you went over it the more you admired him...... My inner goddess mocks me.
I stand from the table and walk towards my room. I need to get some distance between us. The last thing I desire is to have feelings for Amar. I dont want to be one of those girls who live in a fantasy world and thinks she has shot with him.
"Mikros." He says softly.
He places his hand on my shoulder and I stop not bothering to turn to face him.
"You no longer require a room."
I screw my face up looking to the side.
"What do you mean I no longer require a room?" I turn to face him.
"Come back to the bar and we will talk about it." He says as he motions for me to head back to the bar.
I do as he asks and I walk back to the bar wondering what he's on about. As we take our seats again he passes me my flat white he had ordered for me.
"Thank you." I lick my lips and bite my bottom lip smiling.
