Come Back, My Ruunaway Bride novel Chapter 33

After a pause, Albert sat next to him, but still kept a distance from him.

Seeing that she was on guard against himself, Charles didn't continue to "push his luck".

If he wanted to find out what he craved from her, he had to pull her to his side step by step, until she put down her guard against him.

If he tried to force her, Albert would probably be more stubborn than him.

Albert found the medicine skillfully and took out a cotton swab. Then she pressed the swab on his wound in a not so gentle way.

When cleaning the wound with the alcohol, there would be a little sting. At the same time, Charles's hand trembled to show his dissatisfaction with her rudeness.

Albert couldn't help but take a look at him.

Although she did this harder on purpose, it didn't hurt that much.

He had survived such a serious injury that night. How could he not bear such a small pain?

When Charles saw her looking at himself, a smile appeared on his face, as if he was extremely comfortable. He said gently, "You can go on."

Now that Charles said so, Albert was embarrassed to play tricks on him again.

The next step was to clean and apply medicine. Afraid that the medicine would evaporate, Albert put two more band aids on the back of his hand.

Staring at his hand, Charles suddenly felt so stupid.

The two sat side by side. She lowered her head slightly, and her body was still wet with the smell of lime. Strangely, Charles found that the guy next to him seemed to be quite pleasing to his eyes.

"All right." After packing up her things, Albert stood up and said, "Those blood marks are not deep. Don't get wet these days. If you are still worried, you can go to the hospital by yourself."

Charles looked at it again and again, not sure whether he was satisfied or not.

"Then ...if the band aids worn out, can I come to you again? "

Albert wanted to refuse, but when she saw the innocent face of Charles which was a little aggrieved and cute, she didn't know how to answer him. Even though she knew that he was acting, she still swallowed back her refusal.

"As you like," said Albert coldly.

With a successful smile, Charles turned his eyes slightly and saw Simba who had been vigilantly staring at him.

Simba sat on the sofa, with its small body straight and in a state of vigilance. It seemed that as long as it found that he had hurt Albert, it was ready to attack him at any time.

Charles stretched out his hand and grabbed Simba almost effortlessly. Simba meowed sharply, still couldn't get rid of him.

When Albert turned around, she saw that Charles was gently touching Simba's back and smiling at her.

"Your cat is quite cute."

Simba shivered in his hangs and could only cry to Albert for help.

This time, Albert didn't go forward and save Simba.

Although Charles was unfathomable, it was impossible for him to hurt a cat.

It was time to teach Simba a lesson. It had been out for a few days.

Receiving the signal from Albert, Simba felt like weeping but had no tears.

'Oh my God! I'm going to be out of favor...'

But Simba didn't know yet. It was just a beginning. The way of its master spoiling her husband was so hateful that even the cat was furious!

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. After thinking for a while, Albert knew that it was Rena.

She looked back at Charles. Charles was a little unhappy, but he still stood up.

Albert had thought that Charles would be sensible and go back, but she didn't expect him to go straight to the bedroom.
