Margery was rendered quite depressed as she failed to convince Golden to go to the hospital. She managed to light up her head and went back to the hospital.
But the door of the operation room was still closed. The red signal light above the door was still shining. Her loving baby was still kept into the room.
Margery leaned against the window beside her, stiff. She raised her head while her face was wet by tears. Her face was exceedingly pale as if she were about to faint away the next second.
Finally, a nurse felt really sympathetic to her and came over. She handed Margery some food, "Ms. Bryne, please have some food. Don't damage your own body. Think about your son. He is still waiting for you."
"Thank you."
Margery said thanks with hoarse voice. She took the food and opened the package with trembling fingers. Then she started to eat it, feeling numb and tasteless.
She forced herself to take a few bites. But she suddenly threw up all over into the trash can as her stomach was surging up.
She put down the chopsticks and then threw away the rest of the food into the trash can. Suddenly, she heard footsteps sounding from behind, which were getting closer and closer. It seemed to strike her heart.
She immediately turned around and saw a tall man wearing a cold face. He was standing behind her emotionlessly while smoking. When seeing that, Margery couldn't help being stunned.
Such an unexpected surprise really made her go blank all of a sudden. She sobbed, "Why are you here?"
"Vivian asked me to come."
He took a whiff of smoke but he didn't look at her.
Two seconds later, he uttered, "Only ten minutes."
Ten minutes? It was totally not enough. It still took quite a lot of time before the operation was finished.
Her glittering eyes started to darken again. Of course, she knew that Golden came here just because of Vivian, never for the sake of Andrew and her.
Margery took a deep breath and prayed that the operation would be finished as soon as possible. Only then could Andrew see his daddy, whom he had been missing. He had barely met his father since he was born. He was so eager to see Golden.
Time passed by gradually. Soon, ten minutes had gone.
Golden looked at his watch. Then he turned around and was about to leave.
Margery was anxious. She immediately rushed forward to stop him, "Could you…could you please wait for a while? The operation is about to be finished soon. I promise it won't take you much time."
Golden sneered. Then, his cold and cruel request sounded beside her ears again, "I can wait for a while. But as return, you have to please me just like what you had done at the wedding night!"
Golden had never slept with any other woman since the wedding night three years ago as there was no woman who could turn him on again.
As for Pansy, he only viewed her as a common female companion for banquet only.
When he sent Vivian back to the VIP ward in the municipal hospital in the morning, he stayed with her for a while as she insisted with great passion. However, as she had just woken up, he managed to hold back his desire.
So when he saw the pitiful but nice-looking face of Margery, he felt like burning with desire again.
Though he hated her, he still deemed her a nice target to vent out his own desire as she was pretty and well-shaped.
Though he was a neat freak, he seemed to be a bit stunned when seeing her lovely smile. He withdrew his hand and uttered as cold as usual, "Go to the East villa tonight at 9:00 PM!"
His deep and cold voice sounded again.
When hearing that, Margery couldn't help holding Andrew more tightly while her face turned pale.
Golden walked out of the ward. When he reached the hall on the ground floor, he suddenly walked over to the counter in front of which those patients came to pay for the medical fee. Then he called the chauffeur, who was waiting in the car and made him come in to pay the fee for Andrew.
While the cashier was working on the computer, Golden lit up a cigarette. His clear-cut handsome face was covered among the smoke. No one could see clearly the expression his face.
Two minutes later, the chauffeur said to him with great respect, "Mr. Barrett, it's done."
"Well." Golden nodded slightly and then stubbed out the butt. He threw in into the trash can and turned around to leave.
His chauffeur also followed him out of the hospital.
When they had just walked out of the gate, a woman with ravishing face walked to the counter elegantly. She let out a cold smile.
"Listen up, just hold up the fee that the gentleman just paid for three days. After that, you can have the money if no one asked about it. Well, if someone did so, just tell him that there is wrong with the system."
After saying so, she handed a credit card to the cashier with her fair and slim fingers, "Here is your reward. There is fifty thousand in total."
The cashier hesitated for a while when looking at this elegant lady. But she still took the card as her greed outweighed her conscience.
