[Ping! Polar bears have a powerful bite force of 1200 psi, the strongest amongst all bear species. Their large size contributes to how strong they can bite and what makes them the most deadly bear in the world. The largest polar bear ever recorded weighed more than 2,000 pounds and had a height of around 11 feet.]
[Ping! This giant bear weighs more than 5000 pounds and is 14 feet tall.]
[Ping! The giant bear runs 40km/h while a normal human run at 13km/h.]
"Thank God I'm not a normal human."
Damien zoomed away before the polar bear could get to him. The heavy and giant arms of the bear would crush his body let alone the jaws.
"Why did that fucking system tell me about the bear's powers? Was it to scare me? I didn't even ask the bastard. Fool be doing too much."
He was standing behind the bear. Not far, not near. He was hoping dearly that the bear would not attack the yacht and rip it apart.
Fortunately, the bear turned away from the yacht, to him.
"God saved you."
He gloated. Truth be told, if the bear had touched the yacht, let alone make a tiny mark, he would had been so pissed off that he wouldn't care blasting it off.
If that had happened, that would had really helped quicken the process. He would be done killing it already, but then would be worried about getting another yacht.
On the other note, the bear showing up at that moment helped concentrate his focus. The quicker he killed all the predators on the frozen island, the easier it would be for him to end the tasks and claim the rewards.
Soon enough, he realized a sort of heavy pounding at his front. His consciousness was back. He couldn't believe that he got distracted while standing before such a monstrous creature.
The last time he had an experience with a bear, it was very easy. It was in the Cannibals' village. He had a gun back then. But now? He didn't even remember where he kept the gun. He had obviously given himself away to the system.
He started to run away from the bear, like a normal human. Running past the other side of the mountain which was wide enough to house the giant and fat bear.
The bear would growl and roar as it kept running to catch him. Damien finally stopped at the middle of the frozen space. The endless frozen space.
He didn't run anymore, instead, he would take gentle steps back as the bear approached him. The bear didn't run anymore either. Damien could tell that the fucker was calculating. He was very sure.
"Let's have a fair fight."
He gulped. He knew he didn't have the luxury of time for that risk. He shouldn't even be thinking of housing the thoughts. But there he was making a castle for the thought.
For some reason, he wanted the bear to come very close to him. He wanted to determine how tall the bear was beside him. A dumb game huh?
The bear charged at him and threw one of its arms, in an attempt to claw into Damien's face. Damien was swift, his reflexes top-notch. He pushed his body to the back, his legs fixed to the same spot. He felt the wave of the throw.
"Woah."
He exclaimed. He was sure. If that had hit him, he would already become a sorry story. While he tend to want to play a game, he couldn't put his life in line. Though that was exactly what he was doing unconsciously.
"This bastard. You should take it easy at least. We don't have to kill each other. Let's talk business."
He would move back as the bear approached.
"See, I've tamed a wolf and become friends with her, even though she had turned out to be a wench!"
The bear lifted its heavy frame, jumping so high, and almost landed on Damien. On the four!
By the heavens, Damien didn't see that coming. And if he didn't, then he didn't prepare to duck it. But he did duck it. He had no idea how;
The system had tampered with his reflexes, hacking into the organs responsible for swift actions. And now, he was behind the bear on his knees. The bear on his knees too, claws digging into the frozen earth. Only if those claws had had a contact with Damien's chest.
"Woah... that was so close."
Damien realized that he didn't have time to make jokes anymore. Things were beginning to go out of hand. If he kept up with that, he might lose his life. The thought was scary.
"This bastard can jump? Waah... I thought you were too heavy to lift your body. You should come around sometime to Vegas and teach those fat ass people your trick. Believe me, no body shaming."
The bear got back on its feet and turned to him. Damien searched the corners of the bear's eyes. It was growing a sort of shade which sent chills down his own spines.
He should click on one of the skills or features that would make killing the beast a cakewalk, but no! He wanted to have a fair fight. He wanted his wits to earn him this victory. Something he could boast about. Too bad, what he was trying to avoid was what he was actually entertaining.
Lucky enough for him, his eyes caught the crack on where the bear was standing.
"Yea, that's it."
He smirked. He had found a way.
"The only problem is making another crack. By then, it would be soft enough to --"
The bear charged at him again, more determinedly this time.
"Somersault over his head!!!"
