Damien flipped out the window system and scrolled through. He got to a skill that read MOUNTAINEERING.
"Mountaineering? Isn't it called mountain climbing?"
He realized that he was allowing himself to be distracted again for no reason. He was going to beckon the skill out when he remembered.
"Hike!!!"
He called! And immediately another window popped up.
[Ping! Mountaineering skill activated. The highest level activated.]
[Ping! Mountaineering tips: Tools needed for mountaineering are, Crampons, Ice axe, Climbing Harness, Helmet, Rope, Carabiner and Sock. The rest functions would be owed to the system.]
"Where am I supposed to get all these in a cave --"
[Ping! System notification: All kits for mountaineering are automatically included at the exchange of points for the skill.]
"How could I had forgotten something like this?"
Damien scolded himself.
"Wasn't this the same thing which happened when I exchanged points for the CAPENTER skill? I could automatically take out all the tools needed to build the castle."
He nodded. Something which had been sitting with him all this while seemed to have pointed a new light to him at that moment.
He dumped the distraction and decided to bring the things needed. He wore a jacket thick enough, a muffler, a climbing boot, strapped crampons to the shoes then did other necessary things.
"Now, let's do this."
He took in a deep breath first before walking to the mouth of the cave again.
"How am I supposed to climb on this mountain without jumping in the water? At least there should had been a small portion of earth which I could stand on."
While he was there remonstrating, his subconscious mind was passing a detailed analysis to his body. When the message finally got to his active mind, his eyes caught a protruding part of the mouth of the cave which formed a arc.
He advanced to it and stabbed the icy rock with the sharp edge of the axe. Making a firm grip, his instinct pushed his body swiftly and smoothly round the arc, and he was crawling up the mountain. Stress-free and in exhilaration.
It was just a matter of time before he was at the top of the mountain. He did a skillful and final push of his body and he was standing at the top of the super tall mountain.
It took him about twenty minutes to get to the top of the mountain, even though he had used the skills and speed of the system.
What if he didn't have the system? It probably would had taken him about three to four hours. Yes! The system reduces the stress and odds by tenth or more.
"Wow... oh my God... what a view."
He exclaimed and exhaled, turning. He felt like a god. Every other things which were below him looked quite tiny. He could even see the end of the jungle island.
"This is so beautiful."
He paved his lips and closed his eyes, throwing his face up and high as the cozy shrills of the breeze tickled every corner of his face. It was so soothing as well as freezing.
For a sheer moment, he forgot why he was there on the top of the mountain. He allowed himself to enjoy the beauty and calmness. Whether a minute later, he would be back to his senses.
He quickly brought up the camera function and began to click as many pictures of every angles of the ocean, jungle and everything. Even things which he didn't care about.
His fingers flicker across the screen of the camera and it automatically zoomed in.
"Woah....I'd be damned."
He exclaimed. The clarity and quality of the image didn't even reduce a bit let alone blur out.
"This is so crazy."
He admitted.
"The jungle is triangular? Wow."
That was one of the numerous discoveries he had just made. He kept on going, zooming in, closer and closer into the jungle. It got to a point when it seemed like he was in the jungle walking through it. Like the camera was his eyes.
"Does this camera has feelings or emotions to it?"
