Cupid's Arrow hit me hard! novel Chapter 2623

Serenity teased Elisa with a smile. “Elisa, you love children so much. Hurry up and have one with Remy.”

Elisa kissed her nephew and said, “Once Remy and I are married, we’ll start a family right away. After having a baby and achieving this milestone, we can focus on running our business.”

“I thought you would wait a couple of years after marriage to have a child and enjoy some private time together,” replied Alice.

“I initially had that plan too, but I changed my mind. Considering Remy’s age and mine, if we get married next year, it’s better to start our family planning sooner. I’ll be thirty by the time I have a child.”

Elisa was a year older than Serenity.

“I used to not like kids, but ever since I met Sonny, I’ve started to like them. Now I like them even more.”

“A little baby like my nephew is so easy to take care of. He eats and sleeps, and hardly cries. Alice, with such an obedient child, it’s fine to have a couple more. Our family can afford it.”

Serenity laughed. “Alice is still in her postpartum confinement and you’re talking about having a second child or even a third. If Clive hears about it, he’ll definitely scold you.”

Alice experienced severe morning sickness during her pregnancy and Clive even considered having Alice terminate the pregnancy.

The couple had agreed to have only one child.

Elisa looked toward the door to confirm that Clive had not come in. She said, “I was simply saying. I didn’t think before speaking. Alice, don’t take it to heart.”

Alice endured hardships during her pregnancy, and Elisa felt sorry for her.

“Just one child is enough. When Anthony gets married, and they have a daughter, I’ll have a nephew and a niece.”

Alice said, “During my pregnancy, I experienced severe nausea. Initially, I had planned to have only one baby, but seeing how adorable my little one is, the pain of pregnancy is now a distant memory. I'm considering convincing your brother to have a second child, but that's a decision for the future.

“Even so, I might not be able to persuade Clive. He said that if I wanted to have a second child, he would undergo a vasectomy to crush my hopes. He often says that the number of children doesn't matter; as long as we nurture them well, one child can be equivalent to several.
