Arianne could not stop herself from mocking him. “That’s right, weren’t you occupied with something for the past few days as well?”

Mark frowned and asked, “What do you mean?”

Arianne turned her head to the side so as not to look at him. “I don’t mean anything. It’s a fact that we’re already divorced. Mark was slightly troubled and felt guilty at the same time. “Arianne, why don’t you head back to your work first? We’ll talk again later.”

Only a moment ago, Mark had been so insistent on not letting Arianne leave, yet he was asking her to go so easily now?
