Helen looked at her lovingly. “Your sister isn’t up yet.”

Arianne chuckled icily. “She mustn’t have slept well from doing too many bad things at night huh? Where’s her room? I have things to tell her.”

Noticing that something was not right, Helen did not dare allow Arianne to go to Aery alone. “Let me take you there.”

When they were going upstairs, Arianne told her, “I’m thirsty. Please pour me a glass of water.”

Helen turned back around to do what she said without hesitating, pouring her a full glass of warm water. Arianne brought the glass of water into Aery’s room. The completely pink princess-like décor of the room disgusted her despite also rousing a bit of her jealousy. Arianne had never owned anything like this, not that she yearned for it anymore.

She poured the glass of water on Aery’s face, the latter springing up in shock and screaming, “Who is it? Are you crazy?”

Helen was stunned. When Aery saw that it was Arianne, there was a wash of a guilty conscience in her eyes. “How did you come in?”
