Tiffany did not expect to trigger such a huge reaction from Jackson when she was just trying to leave him hanging to keep his interest. She took a peek downstairs but could not see anything since her new house was too high up. “Are you really downstairs? I… I can’t go down…”
She could not come down? Jackson lost his cool. “Don’t tell me you have a man at home? Did your mom ask you to go on a blind date again? Hold on, I’m coming up right now!”
Tiffany failed to remain firm, she hastily said, “Wait there! I’ll come down now.” After she hung up, she quickly changed her clothes and went out the door in a hurry. When Lillian asked where she was going, she only said she was meeting a friend and would be coming back shortly.
Tiffany was slightly panting when she came down and ran to his car. “What’s up? You’re like a kid, doing whatever you want. Didn’t I say that I can’t come down? How can there possibly be another man at my house?”
Jackson opened the passenger door with a glower on his face. “Hop in.”
After she obediently got into the car, Jackson stepped on the pedal and sped off before she even sat down properly. Her hands tightened around the seat. “Are you crazy? What’s wrong with you?”
“Why are you refusing to see me?” It was obvious Jackson was mad. As a womanizer, he could tell she was avoiding him. This made the alarm in his mind go off. There must be something going on.
“Didn’t I tell you? Why are you asking again? It’s really… really nothing…” Tiffany dared not say it was to maintain the feeling of novelty.
Soon after, they drove into White Water Bay. Looking at the scowl on Jackson’s face, Tiffany was nervous. “What are we doing here? Can’t you tell me what you want in the car? It’s too late, I should go back.”
“You sure you want it to be in the car?” Jackson turned to face her.
Tiffany nodded resolutely. “Yes, you can speak in the car. You want to see me, you’ve seen me. We just returned to the capital, let me take a few days off. After I tell my mom about us, we’ll be able to meet more often. It’s not like we’ll die if we don’t meet for two days…”
Jackson pulled Tiffany into his embrace and sealed her lips. “I’ll die!”
She widened her eyes. They were still in a public place after all. She panicked and patted his back. “Let… let go! People will see us!”
Jackson moved away slightly before he asked, “Didn’t you say to do it in the car? Your choice. My house is right in front. Are we going in or are we staying in the car? You have one more chance.”
