Wesley stayed up all night.
He called two waitresses to take care of Harriet at dawn and then went back to his company.
It had been noon when Harriet woke up, looking at the unfamiliar hotel room, she was dumbfounded for a while.
“Miss Harriet, you're awake! Would you like to wash up first, or have breakfast? We'll prepare it for you." The waitress asked warmly, pulling Harriet’s thoughts back.
Harriet was confused, “What’s wrong with me...”
The waitress explained, “Mr. Wesley brought you here to have a rest last night. Is there anything wrong with you? We can get you to the hospital if you feel uncomfortable.”
“No, thank you.” Harriet finally reminded of the scenes of last night, though she had forgotten something because of drunkenness. Then she asked again with uncertainty, “Was it really Boss Wesley brought me here?”
“Yes, Boss Wesley didn’t call in help last night. He carefully looked after you by himself and didn’t leave until this morning. It seemed that he didn’t rest all night.” A waitress was outspoken and spoke out about everything.
Harriet was shocked.
Was it possible? Would Wesley be dedicated to take care of her?
He had taken care of her a few times before because there was still a relationship between them at that time, what was the intention this time?
She increasingly couldn’t understand this man.
“Miss Harriet, Miss Harriet?” The waitress called out.
Harriet gathered her senses, “I’ll wash up first, while you prepare breakfast.”
Harriet was pondering the things of last night during the meal. Wesley obviously didn’t care about that. How could he be willing to let her soak in ice water? She was already in poor health, and this made it even worse.
Harriet couldn’t care much about her headache, directly took a cab to Pop Culture Group from the hotel.
“Sorry, Miss Harriet, Boss Wesley is in a meeting.”
When she arrived at the reception of the edifice, a security guard surprisingly stopped her this time, which never happened before. Apparently Wesley had specifically instructed it.
“Then I’ll wait for him to finish the meeting.” Harriet replied calmly.
The security guard didn’t say much and left her to wait.
However, Harriet waited there for two hours. She frequently asked the receptionist during the time but was always told, “The Boss Wesley was in a meeting.”
She finally couldn’t bear it and directly called to Wesley, but nobody answered.
“I must see Wesley!” Harriet stubbornly said to the receptionist.
The receptionist replied helplessly, “Sorry, Miss Harriet, Boss Wesley is really busy, or you can come next time.”
“No, I can’t wait for it anymore.” Harriet’s eyes rolled, then said with absolute certainty, “I'm pregnant, you can't keep a pregnant woman waiting here, can you?"
The receptionist was shocked, “What...what did you say?”
Harriet spoke with a firm voice, “Didn't understand it? I mean I’m pregnant with Wesley’s child. Are you clear now?”
“Hold on...” The receptionist's attitude was finally changed, hurriedly calling the office secretariat. Soon, she said to Harriet, “You can go in now. Boss Wesley is in his office.”
Harriet sneered in heart, “Maybe he was in the office all the time, but deliberately left her out.”
She finally arrived at Wesley’s terse and decent office. After Harriet closed door, she found Camille was also here, and was pouring tea to Wesley with a smile.
“Why didn't I know that Boss Wesley has a hobby of accompanying by a beauty?” Harriet found it sour after she said so.
