Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me novel Chapter 51

The man's eyes flashed, and came up to support her shoulder. He asked with concern, "Are you all right?"

Harriet felt that someone had covered her ears. She looked at the man confusedly, only knowing that his mouth was moving but failing to understand what he was talking about.

What's wrong with her?

"I didn't expect Miss Clark to be drunk so soon. I'll take you to the room for a rest."

Harriet didn't know what was happening. She was wrapped by him on the shoulders to the rest area behind the banquet hall.

Molly was nearby but a producer called her away later, and she had not returned. She did not return when Harriet went away with Eric.

They had the conversation in the corner which was not noticeable. Harriet's face was held by the man. The people who passed them by occasionally did not pay attention to them at all.

Molly looked for Harriet everywhere and did not find her. She called her but no one answered.

Molly got ant in her pants. She questioned Irene when she saw her, “Where is Harriet!”

"Why did you ask me?" Irene sarcastically raised her lips. "She has her legs and can go anywhere."

Molly regretted that she should not leave Harriet out of her sight. Her face was wrinkled extravagantly. She could only hope Harriet was safe right now.

She kept calling Harriet while looking for her. She accidentally hit someone.

"Sorry, sorry." She buried her head and apologized quickly.

Jack frowned and sorted his collar, recognizing Molly.

She was Miss Clark's new agent.

"Harriet, where did you go?" Molly walked forward, talking to herself.

Jack paused when he heard her, wondering if Miss Clark also came to the banquet and she maybe have something happen.

He glanced back at Molly, seeing her being panic. He hurried towards Wesley.

Wesley was talking to a boss, and there are several people around him.

Jack came behind him and whispered. “Boss, something bad happened to Miss Clark."

Wesley frowned lightly. The boss next to him thought Wesley was dissatisfied with his proposal, and quickly asked, "Why not you propose a price, Boss Smith?"

"Mr. Taylor, let's negotiate the contract the other day." Wesley left soon after saying the words.

Jack followed him, "Miss Clark should have come with her agent."

Wesley spotted Irene, knowing that this woman did not get along well with Harriet.

She had played plenty of tricks over Harriet. He would not let her go so easily if she had no relationship with Mrs. Jones.

Wesley walked towards her while wonder something.

Irene noticed him and took greet him.

Wesley made a wink at Jack. Jack understood and walked towards Irene, "Miss Whitty, I would like talk with you for a moment."

Irene stared at the back of Wesley, excusing, "Sorry, I suddenly remember I have something else to deal with..."

Before she finished talking, Jack had reached her and squeezed her arm, "You'd better do as I say. Mr. Smith does not have the patience to see your acting."

When dealing with Harriet's gossip earlier, Jack investigated Irene's details. She just made an excuse to leave, which clearly showed that she had something to do with Harriet's missing.

No one else was around, Wesley turned around. His sly eyes skipped over her which made her shudder a little. Her blood seemed to be clotting.

Without too much cover-up, he directly asked, "Where is Harriet?"

Irene pretended to be puzzled and said, "I don't know, does she come to the party too? Do you know...Miss Clark?"

Wesley smiled coldly to her as he knew Irene got the truth of his relationship with Harriet, "You still have a chance."

Irene's scalp was numb because of his staring, but she still shook her head as she would not admit she knew Harriet's whereabouts.

Jack had already got the list of the guests attending the banquet in a short time, and knew Irene came with director Eric.

The villa was large enough that every guest was arranged a room to rest. Jack reported the situation to Wesley and went directly to the rest zone.

At the same time, a waiter hurried over from the other side of the corridor and handed him a room card.

Irene was immediately frightened, with panic flashed in her eyes. She was planning to send a secret message to Eric.

Jack caught her wrist and dragged her to find Harriet together.
