Chapter 49
One of the women in the crowd noticed Sierra’s embarrassment and immediately teased, Ms. McMillan, are you too embarrassed to say
it?”
Sierra hesitated, unsure of how to respond to the situation.
She had never had that kind of relationship with Dorian! How would she know if he was good in bed?
Besides, Dorian would never allow her to say such things. It would be a blow to his pride. At that moment, Sierra felt like she was caught between a rock and a hard place.
Gisele, however, noticed Sierra’s embarrassment and immediately exclaimed, “I see!”
Gisele’s exclamation was deliberately drawn out, and it immediately brought everyone’s attention back to her again.
She set aside the herbs she had picked up and chuckled with delight. “Are you feeling embarrassed because you’re longing for some intimacy but haven’t quite achieved it yet? In that case, you’ll need some aphrodisiac incense!”
She picked up
several sticks of incense in different colors and scents and said, “Which color and scent do you prefer? I’ve got a variety of aphrodisiac incense here that’s guaranteed to do the trick!”
“I–I didn’t mean that!” Sierra felt the strange gazes of the people around her and anxiously explained, “I’m actually being reserved about it. I don’t really-”
Gisele quipped, “How is wanting to have a child before getting married being reserved? 1 mean, getting pregnant out of wedlock isn’t exactly reserved, right?”
She set aside the incense and suddenly said, “Ms. McMillan, I have all the aphrodisiacs and fertility remedies you’re looking for! However, I’m afraid I can’t sell them to you right now.
“You should come back to me after you’ve tied the knot. Otherwise, it would greatly diminish your reputation and set a bad example for others.
“Imagine this–the top socialite of Hearthfield getting pregnant out of wedlock. Even the mere thought of such a headline has got me all worked up!”
Gisele seemed to have Sierra’s best interests at heart. She bent down to pick up the brush pen from the trolley.
She immediately erased the words “personalized prescription” from the small signage on the folding table, and rewrote the words.

The crowd that had been praising Sierra suddenly fell silent, unsure of what to say.
They knew that Dorian truly doted on Sierra. It was rumored online that he had invested 50 million dollars in “The Ideal Nursing Home” just to let Sierra be a guest on the show.
“Alright, everyone! If you need anything, feel free to come and consult me! I guarantee that I’ll be honest and upfront with everyone!” Gisele shouted out boldly and unabashedly.
Everyone took a closer look at the small signage and saw that the previous wording had been changed to “Sierra McMillan, Hearthfield’s top socialite, has visited here and spent a fortune to seek fertility treatment!!!!
Those three exclamation points on the signage truly emphasized the authenticity of this
matter.
As someone read it aloud, passersby immediately gathered around when they heard it.
Sierra, who was already standing at the center of the crowd, was completely surrounded.
In the sweltering heat, the smell of sweat permeated the air. Although her complexion was ghastly, she couldn’t find a way out.
She glared resentfully at Gisele, yet the latter acted as if nothing was wrong, and even described the previous conversation in a vivid and detailed way, embellishing it.
