Myles said, “Yes, that's not the rule! It will be disgrace if it gets out.”
Janet added, “Yes, sister, and this is not good for your reputation. If the man you like knows it in the future, he will dump you.”
The three seemed to have underestimated Viola. If she really cared about reputation, why did she release the news that she was kept?
Viola let out a sigh under lament, “Eric is always the thorn in my heart. Since you cannot meet my request, never mind, I will still live by myself.”
Janet and Amity looked at each other. Before Amity stopped her, she said clenching her teeth, “Sister, let me think about it. Stay here tonight, I will give you the answer tomorrow morning, ok?”
“No,” Viola wiped away her tears. “I'd better go home tonight.”
“Sister!” Janet hurried to stop her, “Even if I agree, Eric will not agree. I have engaged with him, and he will not do that.”
Viola sniffed and looked sadly at the ceiling. “How do you know he won't agree if you don't ask him? Besides, I only ask him to accompany me, and I don't intend to do anything. Wasn't that how you approached him at the beginning? I was busy with my work, and you stayed with him instead of me. And nothing happened between you two, right?”
Janet was speechless and her smile froze. She did say that to the outside world, but she had been with Eric long ago...
Damn Viola! Just wait and see, Eric would not agree! She was Eric's favorite woman! His future Wife! How dare this little bitch covet him!?
