Chapter 0117
Kala POV
I race towards the fight…aware that this one seemed the most dangerous to date. I curse myself for ignoring the warning signs as anxiety for Alora’s pack welcoming event, it was my wolf trying to warn me of an imminent attack,
The fact that attackers had reached further in land than ever before means they have increased their numbers this time.
I wasn’t wrong, they were applying more pressure this time which would mean more deaths overall. Why can’t they just let us be, let us integrate…give us a second chance.
By the time I reach the battle, we had managed to push them back but at the cost of many of our pack member’s lives already. Bodies laid strewn across the grass field, parents that would never return to their children.
It breaks my heart every time.
I
I have no time to think about it…to dwell, or be strategic right now, I just throw my wolf into the mix. Joining the sea of fur.
Letting my wolf side take full control as she defends and even kills.
This attack felt different, more murderous on their part we’d have to play by their rules to win. We would have to be as vicious as them.
“Attack to kill!” I order through the pack link, their collective confirmation of my order hits me through the shared bond.
It doesn’t take me long to realise the only time I am fighting is when I am joining into a fight…defending my pack members. Otherwise nobody is attacking me!
In fact, when I kill a wolf I look up to find a circle has been formed around me…yet not one of them goes in for the kill. It’s as if they are trying to hold me.
In my peripheral vision I can see Samson’s wolf trying to push through the circle, trying to get to me…then all of a sudden they turn and attack on my people.
As soon as their back’s are turned I attack the one closest to me from behind…taking him out by his neck. The fight continues until I feel his presence join the fight, the presence of an enemy alpha wolf. I find him amongst the sea of fur, he was hard to miss. Just as before he was huge, the large dark grey wolf ist already prowling towards me. His teeth flashing towards my wolf as he tries to intimidate her and me.
Not a chance.
I snarl back at him, letting his wolf know that we wouldn’t just roll over…if he wanted a fight…he’d have to coat my wolf’s white fur in her own blood to win against us.
He stops 20 feet in front of us, as 2 of his warriors guard his back…attacking and killing those that want to take the alpha wolf out for me.
This was Father’s battle, but Father couldn’t beat this wolf…he was too old and his leg wouldn’t last 2

minutes in a fight.
It is better I am here…that I can defend Father’s title and claim on these lands.
Samson’s wolf breaks through this alpha’s defence barrier that encircles me to stand next to me, even trying to stand in front of me until I growl my dissatisfaction of his implied movement. This was my fight not the betas.
The alpha’s growl mirrors my own, as he takes a step towards us, Samson responding.
They both prowl one another in a circular format, both carefully watching one another’s footing as they assess the strength and build of the other wolf. If Samson could keep him moving so that the alpha was Infront of me, I could attack him from behind….I could take him out before he got the chance to see or hear me coming, preoccupied by my pack’s beta.
