Chapter 0118
Kala POV
I growl at him for blocking my path…burnt oranges and dark chocolate….his scent calls out to me. Not only was I sensing another alpha entering the battle…I was sensing a mate bond….the weak buzz of the mate connection informing me he was close by.
Unbelievable.
Not only has he entered onto my Father’s lands without permission…now he was blocking my path… blocking me from fighting this monstrous alpha. Stealing my fight.
“Who is that?” Some of the warriors push on my mind–link but I push them out…they need to concentrate on the task in hand, and so do I.
He was huge, bigger than the beast before me…he was more the size of a bear. A charcoal black grizzly bear, if I didn’t have a beast already before me…I would say he was the monster.
I can’t see much else…all I am getting is fur in my face, my wolf tempted to bite into him to show him I can handle my own fights.
My wolf sidesteps, out from his fur wall he had created in front of her, to face the other alpha again..
But Hector’s wolf has the nerve to growl at me, leaping back in front of me. He gives me no mind as he launches a full on attack on this enemy alpha, leaving me now standing by the sidelines…watching my own fight, with me not in it.
Frustratingly I am not afforded the time to watch, or protest my outrage as a wolf knocks me over… pinning my wolf down to the ground, it’s jaws snapping at my throat, telling me to stay down.
So I was wanted alive, the daughter of the Nightshade Reformed Alpha would fetch them a great price, or a ransom to give up the lands. I don’t think so, I wouldn’t let Father do that…not my life for our people, not when they have come so far even in the 4 years whilst I was absent from them.
I push up off the ground biting into the wolf’s hind only for Samson now in human form to pull at its tail and swing it away from me. He shifts back instantly, back to fighting by my side as I keep an eye on
Hector and this other alpha battling for dominance.
What was he doing here, how had he found me…
Anger fuels my wolf’s fighting methods as she tries to get back to the alpha wolf only for Hector’s wolf to continue to block us. What was he playing at. These were not his lands….I was Luna here and without our alpha in battle, I was in charge.
Without the link to the Dark Phantom pack running through my veins, I am unable to mind–link him to tell him to stand down.
I have no choice but to shift.
I shift into my skin form in the middle of a battle field, surrounded by venomous wolves snapping at each other
“Stand down Hector!” I order at him, letting my luna auga roll off me. His wolf stares at the length of me before growling at my order, using his snout to push my behind him.

Chapter 0118
“No Hector, these are my lands, my Father’s lands…back down now. This is my fight!” I’m concentrating on Hector’s wolf that I do not hear the sprinting beast behind me, the beast that is using our distraction to take out the Hector’s bear wolf.
Hector sees it last minute as he knocks me to the ground. I shift mid fall as I surround myself with fur and extra muscle to cushion myself on impact, I’m instantly back in the throes of battle when I feel the presence of another alpha wolf join the fight, this time a sandy brown wolf jumping over me and backing up Hector’s wolf.
Who the hell was this?
Both wolves attack the beast, both sinking their teeth into his flanks…a whimper of pain surrounds us as Hector and the new wolf snarl in warning.
Alpha Jude…it had to be……
The enemy alpha must call to retreat, as the attacking wolves start to back away…running back into the treelines that surround the pack grounds.
