Chapter 0121
Hector POV
“What do you want, I’m busy!” Alpha Marc scoffs as we are finally shown into this office. His pack was very different to mine.
This was a coastal pack but nothing screamed deckchairs and ice creams.
This was built and run like a city pack. Even his office was on the top floor of the alpha tower. Not alpha house…he lived in a tower, as if it were just offices to the outside world.
But I know this tower affords him protection for the lands surrounded by sea…in case an invasion started by boats. I was getting the feeling he suffered from paranoia. The camera screens dotted around his office only confirms my theory.
“Now is that anyway to greet alliance members?” Jude jests, arms held out adopting a non–threatening approach. Jude was a smart alpha, he always knew how to approach difficult alphas.
I’ve just had a proposal refused…”
“You’ve found your mate, you’re getting married? Congratulations buddy!” Jude tries to offer his congratulations but this Marc just growls…his eyes looking firmly upon me.
“You are?”
“This is Alpha Hector of the Dark Phantom pack”
“Alpha Hector. I’ve heard a lot about you….welcome, what can I do for you both.” His tone seems to change as Jude introduces me to him, my pack’s reputation once again speaking volumes.
He was a beast, he didn’t suit the tower block scene, he looked as if he should be wearing a plaid shirt working as a lumberjack. He had a pale blue shirt on that pulled at the buttons and strained at his biceps. the shirt was far too small, or his was just too big for all clothing.
His rolled up sleeves gave me a glimpse of the tattoos adorned on his arms that no doubt also run across the rest of his torso and limbs. His brown hair was tied up in a bun with a rugged brown beard and bushy eyebrows.
“I’m looking for someone.” I reply, remaining sceptical of how much I share.
“Aren’t we all. Paula, Paula can you email Beckett back and tell him I won’t take no for an answer. It’s that or we attack!” He calls out to his secretary that had collected us from the bottom floor. Her desk directly outside his office. 1
Beckett…
“Beckett, as in Alpha Beckett of the Nightshade Reformed pack?” Jude asks acting nonchalantly.
“Yes, I want his daughter as my new bride, but he’s refusing…”
Shit what have we stumbled across. I was trying to remain careful of what I shared.. yet he seemed to know more than us.
“Daughter?” Jude looks between me and Marc.

“Yes, she’s the white wolf I told you about…
“Really? A white wolf?” I scoff out, he had reported this to Jude. But I still struggle to believe in children’s
tales.
“I thought that, believe me…I don’t believe in fairy tale nonsense…but I saw her for my own eyes.”
“Maybe the light shone on a blonde wolf…”
“Her father knows it, that’s why he’s refusing…unless I grant him those lands.”
“Then you’ll marry her?” I ask out.
“No, not even that…I tell you what, he’s a fucker. He’ll start communications with me, but only if I grant him the lands…stop attacking, sign a treaty. He won’t even guarantee she will be mine, he won’t even start talks until those lands are his.” He moans out, flicking through paperwork before signing his authorisation on them.
