Chapter 0173 

Kala POV 

As soon as the door bursts open, I expect Samson to hang his head in shame from the way he was shaking me, that Riley’s roar would have snapped him out of his desperation. 

But it does quite the opposite. 

He turns, moving fast towards Riley, launching himself at him. 

They both fall to the ground, tumbling as they both try and get the upper hand on the other. 

Both of their shifts imminent as they push against each other’s chests, creating enough space for one another to stand again. 

Samson clearly the beta trained and not waiting for Riley to get the advantage, as he rams into the warrior …pushing his head against the wall. 

“Luna, get out.” Riley roars at me but I am not scared of their fight, if anything…it’s unnecessary and I want to break it up myself. 

1 walk towards them both, trying to make them see sense when Riley breaks free of Samson and rushes towards me. 

His arms snake around my waist as he pushes me away…I lose my balance, my body crashing into a glass topped side table. 

A growl escapes Samson, his eyes flashing in anger as he snarls, watching me trying to move off the broken side table. That was now shards of glass and splintered wood beneath me on the floor. 

I flinch as I cut my hand on a broken piece of glass as I try to stand, my blood starting to trickle from my 

palm. 

“Kaia?” 

“It’s fine, I’m fine…you both…” I start to respond that it was nothing when Samson, in an even deeper rage, launches himself back at Riley. 

It was an accident, he was just trying to get me out of the way. 

They continue to completely destroy most of the sitting room within seconds. I wouldn’t be able to walk now without cutting the soles of my feet on glass, Hector would be furious at his destroyed sitting room. 

“Take it outside!” I roar at them both, just as Samson picks up a broken piece of glass and slashes Riley against his chest. 

I stop in shock, things had just gone up a notch and were turning more bloody, more aggressive. 

Rosa runs into check on the commotion, her scream piercing my ears as she sees the blood running down her brother’s chest from the attack Samson had just carried out. 

-The glass still held in his hand, which he was pulling back to prepare for another attack. 

“No!” I jump on Samson from behind, cutting my feet in the process, as I pull the shard of glass from out of his grip.

His head turns to me, a smirk upon his lips as he flats His hand into a small ball. At first I think he might take a swipe at me until his eyes go back on Riley. 

Distracted by her scream, Riley turns to Rosa just long enough for Samson to land a blow to the temple…. knocking Riley out cold. 

“Rosa, call the warriors!” I command for her to use the mind–link but her eyes are looking down at her brother. Unconscious and bloody on the floor. 

I move around Samson, checking Riley and pushing my hand against his wounds to stop the bleeding. 

I can feel glass in my feet but push through the pain. 

Samson stands tall as the victor, his eyes looking to Rosa who seems to be shaking in fear. Her eyes move up to Samson’s as they start to glaze over into a mind–link, as she follows my.command. 

He lunges for her but I won’t have another male dare to touch her. 

“Leave her alone!” I growl out at him, standing up as I block her with my body. Could he not see she was in some state of shock. A flashback being triggered. 

My hands are held out, blood covering them as I stand in his path. He’ll have to get through me to hurt her. 

“Use the mind–link Rosa!” I release my aura onto her, my words firm as I glare into his eyes. How dare he do this, how dare he come here and attack a pack member. He was acting like a rogue, not like a beta. 

“I’m not going to hurt her Kaia.” He scoffs looking at my held out hands. 

“But you’re happy to hurt one of my warriors?” 

“One of your…” He shakes his head in a sign of disbelief as he turns moving away from me. 

“Fucking hell, he really does have you fooled doesn’t he.” He screws up his face bitterly..
