Chapter 451

When he said those words, it was barely audible even though he had done so when he
reached over.
Victoria had been restless, but when she heard those words, she could only gently blink
and look at Ethan.
Ethan took the initiative to wipe the beads of sweat that had gathered on Victoria’s
head and immediately retracted his hand.
She regained her composure after that. In actual fact, when Ethan informed her that
Alaric was safe, she still couldn’t help but be worried. Even though he had explained the
situation in a soft voice, she was still worried.
After all, she had been greatly affected by that photo she saw.
She felt that it was all a dream because her heart still raced. Even though it might have
been a dream, what if the events that occurred in the dream turned out to be a reality?
At this, she took a deep breath and asked in a manner that seemed unintentional. “Mr.
Hudson, have you had nightmares before?”
As soon as she asked that, everyone looked at her.
Ethan never expected that Victoria would speak to him, so he was stunned. Then, he

answered, “Yup.”

Victoria remained silent thereafter, which prompted Ethan to look at her as he
comforted her, “Miss Selwyn, there’s a reason why it’s called a dream. It’s the opposite
of the reality. You’re not in the best of health, so stop thinking about this. Why don’t you
rest for a while more? We should be arriving at any moment.”
Those around them also listened to them attentively as they noticed Victoria’s pale face
earlier, which left them frightened.
When they heard that Ethan was merely comforting her, they did not object to his
words and even echoed, “That’s right, Miss Selwyn. Dreams are the opposite of reality.
So, if you dream about bad things, then you’ll have good news in reality.”
“Yes, yes. I used to have nightmares all the time when I was younger. Maybe it’s
because I was nervous about my grades. It all went away once I relaxed. So, the
dreams were merely scaring me only.”
Everyone assisted Ethan in convincing Victoria, who then fell asleep again not long
after.
They were all finally relieved to see her even breathing and whispered, “Thank heavens.
If something were to happen to Miss Selwyn, we’d be screwed, knowing Mr. Morison’s
temper.”

“Yeah. We’re here to protect Miss Selwyn, but her emotions seem off. We’ll need to
keep an eye on her and try to make her happy.”
Everyone chatted for a while as they brainstormed.
By the time Victoria woke up again, the plane was already preparing to land on the
runway. Because of the nightmares that she had, she was still groggy but became
much more energetic after learning about their landing.
Has the plane finally arrived?
Can I finally meet Alaric?

At that, there was joy in Victoria’s heart as her lips curled upward to reveal a faint smile.
It had not been long since they last met, but she already started to miss him deeply.
However, she needed to create an opportunity to inform Terrance and the others.
Unfortunately for her, the toilet on the plane was inaccessible at the time of the landing,
so she could only search for opportunities once she had alighted.
After alighting from the plane, Victoria tried to excuse herself to the toilet when she
heard Ethan saying, “Miss Selwyn, before we leave, you must surrender your phone and
any electronic devices to me.”

At this, she glanced at him. “Surrender my phone?”
“Yup.”
She had not even found an opportunity to text Terrance on top of not knowing where
she was at the moment.
What is going on? Didn’t Bane use Alaric to suppress me? So, why is he so scared that
I’ll inform the others? I mean, even if I do, doesn’t he know that I won’t escape?
Victoria was slightly unhappy upon thinking about this.

When he saw that Victoria was standing still, Ethan reminded her, “Miss Selwyn, if you
want to see Mr. Cadogan, please don’t make our lives difficult and delay our time. If you
hand your phone over earlier, we’ll be there much sooner. Why don’t we leave at one? Of
course, if you’re unwilling to surrender your devices, we have the time to accompany
you too.”
Ethan seemed to be a different person now that he was off the plane.
It also looked like whatever communication that was blocked on the plane was now
restored, which meant that they would be monitored. Judging from the situation at
hand, Victoria had no choice but to surrender her phone.
At this thought, she could only take out her phone to pass it to Ethan, who then

switched off her phone and removed the SIM card.

She was speechless at his action. Sure enough, it’s the same modus operandi. Don’t tell
me you’ll destroy the SIM card first before returning my phone?
However, she was wrong this time.
Ethan kept her phone with him instead of returning it to her. “Let’s go.”
After that, under Ethan’s guidance, they all went to an underground parking garage.
However, as soon as they arrived, someone took out a pair of glasses and handed them
to Victoria. “Please wear this, Miss Selwyn.”
“Glasses?” Victoria could not understand the other party’s intention. “For what?”
“If you want to depart, you have to wear this.”
She was once again speechless.
After she wore the said glasses that they gave her and looked around, she realized that
it was not an ordinary pair of glasses, but rather the kind that blocked one’s vision.
In short, once she wore the glasses, she was like a blind person.
On top of confiscating her cell phone, they did not even want her to know the road
